TIME: Flutes: 4-5PM, Clarinets: 5-6PM, Saxophones: 6-7PM, and Trumpets: 7-8PM

WHO: For all woodwind, and brass students.
REQUIREMENTS: *All levels, Aged 10 and up. *Must have your own instrument.
EXPLORING SONGWRITING

DATE: Mondays, from January 6th, 2025 to March 10th, 2025 (no class on Monday, February 17th, 2025)

Eli Slamang is a guitarist from New Westminster BC, who was accumulated over 20 years of playing. In that time Eli has played in many projects from the Vancouver area and made himself a staple in the metal community. He is constantly composing, touring, and performing with various bands and has played along side acts such as Archspire, Revocation, Marty Friedman, and many more. Along side his love for performing, Eli specializes in creating fun and creative lesson plans utilizing theory and the development of technique. At heart he is a heavy metal/rock player, but he can quickly cater to any students musical tastes. Eli's rate is $28.00 per half hour lesson.
harrison shaw (Guitar, Bass Guitar, Ukulele)

Harrison has a Diploma in Jazz Studies from Capilano University and is currently working to finish his Degree there. He has been playing in local bands since 2011 and is interested in many styles, from Blues, Rock and Metal, to Flamenco and Reggae, as well as Jazz and some Classical styles. He currently plays guitar in a local metal band, and continues to compose his own music. He has been teaching since 2016 and has experience teaching private and group lessons in guitar, bass, ukulele, music theory, ear training, and composition. Harrisons rate is $29.00 per half hour lesson.

Keenan Render is a Guitarist, Composer/Songwriter, and arranger from Vancouver, Canada. His writing spans across a breadth of genres from jazz to metal. He is a graduate of Vancouver Community College's Bachelor of Applied Music, where he studied Composition and Jazz & Contemporary Guitar. An avid collaborator, Keenan is fascinated by the interdisciplinary collaborative process. This includes working with graphic scores, scoring for video games, and more. He is also a self-acclaimed "gear-nerd", always looking to explore new technology in guitars, plugins, pedals, or DAWs. Keenan's rate is $28.00 per half hour lesson.
matthew pancoust (Guitar, Bass Guitar, Ukulele)

Matt has been playing guitar for 15 years and teaching since 2017. Matt continuously composes, tours and performs with multiple groups in the Vancouver area, including his own project Truent which has seen him performing alongside Voivod and Archspire. In addition to focusing on growing his musical career, Matt has a passion for teaching and has been working with students in both group and private lessons since 2017. He specializes in creating fun learning environments and exciting lesson plans that focus on the fundamentals of guitar playing, such as theory and technique. While he specializes in the rock and heavy metal genres, Matt is well versed in various styles of music, and is quick to cater to the special interests and skills of his students. Matts rate is $29.00 per half hour lesson.
