TIME: Flutes: 4-5PM, Clarinets: 5-6PM, Saxophones: 6-7PM, and Trumpets: 7-8PM
LOCATION: 1360 Dominion Avenue, Port Coquitlam
WHO: For all woodwind, and brass students.
REQUIREMENTS: *All levels, Aged 10 and up. *Must have your own instrument.
EXPLORING SONGWRITING

DATE: Mondays, from January 6th, 2025 to March 10th, 2025 (no class on Monday, February 17th, 2025)

Alan started his music journey back in the mid 80s as a teenager and toured the globe playing in diverse music styles and performing with outstanding musicians. Alan is a passionate teacher who has experience working with students of all ages and skill levels and is happy to help students grow and learn, no matter their musical background. Teaching Drums in different genres of music and spreading the joy of playing it is his passion. Alan's rate is $29.00 per half hour lesson.
Drew Christie (Drums)

Drew studied at Capilano University as well as with many top North American drummers and has been teaching drums privately for over a decade. He has been a studio musician and live performer for over 20 years. In his teaching, Drew focuses on providing a fun environment while students learn about groove, technique, theory and reading. Drew's rate is $29.00 per half hour lesson.
Gary Grace (Drums)

Gary is a multi-award winning drummer, most recently the 2009 Roland V-Drum National Grand Champion and has toured with many top Canadian recording acts, including his current band Prism. Gary has been teaching drums and percussion since 1982 for all styles and ages. Gary's rate is $33.00 per half hour lesson.
Jason Ritchie (Drums)

Born into a family of musicians, Jason has been performing on stage since he was 6 years old. By the age of 17, he was an active member of 7 different bands and ensembles, professionally performing and recording. Jason has taught drumming and performance for over 10 years and is able to relate to students of all ages and mindsets. He excels at tailoring his lessons to accommodate each student's individual motivations. Students will become interested and excited about learning music and become more confident and successful on the drums. Jason's rate is $28.00 per half hour lesson.
Ryan Van Poederooyen (Drums)

Ryan started teaching drums in 1998. His lessons have a linear structure helping students build on technical skills, and song learning. He tours professionally and records albums for the Canadian band, Imonolith and was a touring/studio drummer for Canadian artist Devin Townsend. He is a guest educator at Drumeo, and as session drummer has recorded albums for producers such as Chad Kroeger (Nickleback), Jay Van Poederooyen (Simple Plan, Chris Daughtrey) Brian Howes and others. Ryan's rate is $33.00 per half hour lesson.
Sherri Chisholm (Drums)

Sherri has been playing drums professionally for over 20 years. She has toured Canada and the USA with a variety of artists. Sherri enjoys all styles of music and being part of a band/ ensemble. As an educator, she focuses on positive energy and emotion that music and rhythm bring into peoples lives. Her approach is fun, easy, innovative, and geared to her students needs. Whether a student is learning for their own enjoyment or to be part of an ensemble, Sherri will help you enjoy the world of drums! Sherris rate is $28.00 per half hour lesson.
