Brad is a pillar in the local music community. Brad has been teaching and playing drums since 1985 with a passion for performance and music second to none. Brad studied at Grant MacEwan University, Capilano University, and University of Lethbridge. He has played extensively throughout Western Canada with various groups in multiple styles. Brad has backed and performed with several well-known artists such as Bo Diddly, Phil Dwyer, PJ Perry, Rosanna Eckert, and has also backed the U of L Big Band, the U of L Wind Ensemble, The Lethbridge Symphony, as well as several musical productions through New West Theatre, U of L Drama Department, and the Lethbridge School District. Brad is the founder, and manager of the local favourite mega-group Hippodrome. He also performs in many other local bands including HB03, and Mwansa Mwansa. Brad has been teaching at our Lethbridge lesson centre since 2011 and his rate is $31 per half hour.

Born and raised in Southern Alberta, Brenton has been performing as a musician since childhood. From musical theatre to concert band he is experienced in many genres and instruments. After studying Music and Vocal Performance at the University of Lethbridge, Brenton continues to enjoy performing and teaching music lessons in various capacities including trombone, piano and voice. Being classically trained in concert aria, opera, and art song, he also has experience and is trained in jazz, pop, and musical theatre. Brenton is an accomplished performing artist recognized throughout Lethbridge and Southern Alberta and continues to perform today. Brenton offers lessons at our Lethbridge store and his rate is $28 per half hour.

Jared offers a high quality of music education in a wide variety of styles and genres including classical, jazz, blues, rock/pop and everything in between. Each lesson is highly personalized to fit the student’s need whether it be for a performance, competition or for personal enjoyment. Jared has over 30 years of teaching and performance experience. He has experience working with children with special needs, and seniors. He was given the ‘”Prestigious Friends of 51” award in June 2013 by Lethbridge School District No. 51 for his volunteer work at Galbraith Elementary School teaching music to special needs/at risk children. Lessons in theory, history, composition using DAW, song writing, accompanying, and ear training are also available. Jared offers lessons at our Lethbridge store and his rate is $30 per half hour.

Joel Gray is a Lethbridge based musician, guitarist, and collaborative artist. He holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from The University of Lethbridge, as well as a Diploma in Music Performance from Grande Prairie Regional College. Joel is a very active performer in the Canadian music scene who currently plays guitar with Bailey Kate, Starpainter, Jon Martin and Lovers, and Max Hopkins. He also plays bass with Saskatchewan band The Moon Runners. Joel is very well versed across multiple genres of contemporary music and specializes in slide guitar, improvisation, and song composition. Joel teaches various music lessons at our Lethbridge location. His rate is $28 per half hour.
lindsay johannesson (Saxophone)

Lindsay graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Music in saxophone performance in 2022. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to perform in a variety of solo and ensemble settings, both locally and internationally. Today, she is an active member of the Lethbridge Community Band Society, and works closely with a number of Southern Alberta schools as a band clinician. Lindsay will receive a Bachelor in Music Education from the University of Lethbridge in December 2023. Lindsay teaches saxophone lessons at our Lethbridge location, and her rate is $27 per half hour.

I started guitar when I was eleven, started operatic voice lessons at nineteen and have been writing for, playing in, and leading my progressive folk band Max and the Minimums for about seven years. I hold a BMus. in Digital Audio Arts (audio recording, creation, and production) from the University of Lethbridge. I love to talk about music and find out what speaks to you about it. I believe music should be fun, challenge you, and help you grow as a person. I look forward to helping you with your musical journey. Max has been teaching at our Lethbridge store since 2023 and his rate is $27 per half hour.
mickey hayward (Drums)

Mickey Hayward is a drummer, collaborator and community member. Mickey has over 22 years of drumming experience and is a member of Lethbridge-based acts Starpainter, Bailey Kate and Cope. He also performs as a freelance drummer-for-hire. As a youth Mickey studied drums locally with Paul R. Walker, which gave him a strong foundation of drumming fundamentals. His genres of focus are; rock & roll, country, folk and rhythm & blues. Outside of creating, performing and teaching; Mickey is a longtime volunteer of the CKXU Radio Society. Mickey teaches at our Lethbridge location. His rate is $27 per half hour.
paul holden (Guitar, Bass Guitar, Mandolin)

Paul has been teaching electric bass, guitar, and mandolin since 2001. As an active performer in Southern Alberta, Paul has played electric, and upright bass with the Turncoats, New West Theatre, The Dave Renter Jazz Quartet, Hippodrome, Texas Flood, and Mwansa Mwansa. His teaching specialty includes practical fingerboard theory, improvisation, and playing in the context of an ensemble. Paul has been teaching at our Lethbridge store since 2010 and his rate is $31 per half hour.
