Jerry taught band in a high school setting for over 15 years, and holds a Bachelor of Music as well as a Master of Education degree. Jerry has had a love of teaching for many years and wants to continue passing on his knowledge at Long & McQuade. Primarily Jerry plays violin, clarinet and saxophone but can also teach any band instrument up to a level 2 proficiency. Jerry offers lessons at our Edmonton North location.
His rate is $28 per half hour.

Saara is a violinist with nearly 20 years of playing experience and has been teaching since 2020. She is a classical violin teacher but enjoys a broad range of music and has contributed violin performances to local artists in genres as diverse as rap and shoegaze. They currently perform with the Concordia Symphony Orchestra while they pursue post-secondary music study opportunities. Their rate is $28 per half hour.

Payment for each month's lessons is due in the first week of the month. Lesson rates vary with the location, instrument and the teachers' education and experience. Though some are lower or higher, on average they are between $25 and $31 per half hour private lesson. Automatic withdrawals on the 5th of each month make payments easy.
