Description
DIRT is our new 4HP low-pass filter/effect for the Eurorack modular synth platform.
Inspired by one of our favorite “noisy” filters, DIRT is an unapologetic filter/effect that produces interesting and unique effects via the Bias knob, accessible from the front panel.
This is not a traditional filter; it's an effects module with filtering, ring modulation effects, wave shaping, and even downright brutal harmonic distortion.
DIRT likes to square things up a bit, so add a triangle, sawtooth, sine wave or other waveforms to get different style effects. Even plugging a guitar (using an external amp module) into DIRT produces great tones and heavy distortion.
Controls:
– CUTOFF = Cutoff frequency
– RESONANCE = Increases Q!
– BIAS = Set the bias correctly or not, the choice is yours
Inputs/Outputs:
– CUTOFF CV IN = Voltage range varies depending on the position of the CUTOFF button. External attenuation will be required for fine modulation. In version 2.2, the CV input is buffered.
– AUDIO IN = Audio input
– AUDIO OUT = Audio output
