Capable of delivering an exceptionally smooth, flat frequency response with highly predictable proximity effect, the ART D7 large-diaphragm dynamic microphone delivers musicality and tonality that is difficult to achieve with small-diaphragm dynamic or condenser microphones. The uniqueness and versatility of a large-diaphragm dynamic microphone make the ART D7 an essential addition to any live or studio recording engineer’s toolbox.

In live sound reinforcement and recording applications, the D7's cardioid pattern provides excellent feedback rejection and isolation, making it an exceptional choice for powerful vocal applications and a wide range of solo instruments, including low-resonance brass and bass woodwinds, acoustic string instruments such as cello and bass, bass amps, high-volume guitar amps, drums, and percussion.

It provides a full frequency response in front of the microphone with a very controlled and predictable proximity effect - the increased low frequency response when the microphone is placed close to the sound source.

Vocalists can use the proximity effect to their advantage, adding fullness and more “low end” to the voice. Experienced singers can easily incorporate it into their overall microphone technique. This is especially useful when the D7 is used as an announcement microphone in broadcast applications.

The D7's built-in high-pass filter and mid-boost switches allow the microphone's response to be tailored to specific applications, adding versatility and ensuring precise sound shaping at the source.

The precision-machined microphone body and impact-resistant stainless steel wire mesh windscreen provide unmatched long-term reliability. The included shock mount (M-MC2) virtually eliminates vibration and handling noise, while securely securing the microphone in any position needed during use.

Aluminum carrying case included.
