Add to that a built-in 6dB boost switch, and you can instantly launch the Tube Screamer tone into high gear for even more classic overdrive goodness.

The dual-mode power switch lets you get full tube-amp sound at manageable volumes. In addition to its regular 15-watt pentode mode, this features lets you drop it into 5-watt triode mode. At five watts, it gives you the perfect volume for playing smaller venues, practicing, and recording. More importantly, it also drops your headroom, so you get the same tube breakup and overdrive as you would if you were playing at the full 15 watts, only quieter.
