BACK is of curly maple in two pieces, with the curl rising slightly from the center joint to the flanks
SIDES are also of maple, but plainer
NECK AND SCROLL the neck has been grafted to the scroll with very plain maple used
TOP is of fine grained spruce in two pieces
Varnish is a warm golden-brown
