Welcome to Sydney's newest music lesson centre! We are located at 369 Prince street, at the corner of Prince and Disco. We are proud to offer 10 well equipped state of the art lesson studios and Sydney's finest faculty of independent music teachers. Sheldon Aucoin
Sheldon started playing guitar at the age 16 and three years later was performing in a touring band. His career has always revolved around music, having started in music retail at 19 years of age. With 30 years experience in teaching guitar lessons and music retail, Sheldon is also skilled in recording and sound. He is a singer/songwriter and continues to perform in the greater Sydney area. Sheldon is also the creator of the The ULTIMATE BAND which ran from 2004 to 2010 and gave youth the opportunity of performing in a band in the Savoy Theatre.

Brad is a former elementary music teacher at Glacebay Elementary School. Brad has years of experience teaching youth music. Brad has a degree in music and has a very strong passion for teaching. Brad teachers all levels of piano and music theory and welcomes students of all ages and levels. Brad's rate is $23 per half hour lesson.

Chuck studied Music Production and Arranging at Trebas Institute in Toronto. He has 40+ years of playing experience and has been teaching for over 30 years. Chuck has played in many bands over the years in Ontario and on the East Coast, including country, pop, rock, and blues. As well as recording and performing with many artists currently, he is also a singer/songwriter. Chuck’s rate for a private half-hour lesson is $24.00.

Dennis is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and also has a diploma from St Francis Xavier University in the Jazz program. He teaches beginner to advanced theory and has developed educational programs and also developed the music theory program for McKenzie College. Dennis excels in many different styles of music and is able to teach various styles from Rock, Blues, Jazz, Country, Fingerpicking, and more. His rate for a 30-minute session is $23.00

Ed Woodsworth has a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance and a Bachelor of Education. He has been teaching music in various settings since 1999. Ed is a multi-instrumentalist but is most known for his work as a professional bass player. He has performed and/or recorded with many of the major acts to come out of Cape Breton such as Gordie Sampson, Rita MacNeil, Jimmy Rankin, The Barra MacNeils, and more. I’m 2016 the East Coast Music Association gave Ed the Musicians Achievement Award. Ed is offering lessons in acoustic and electric bass, acoustic and electric guitar, ukulele, pedal steel guitar, and theory. Beginner to advanced. His rate for a private half-hour lesson is $23.00.
ian macintyre (Drums)

Ian Macintyre has been a fixture on the local music scene for the past 25 years. During that timespan, he has played with acts such as RG Schaller, The Red Shed, and Rock Ryder in venues ranging from small clubs to more prestigious venues such as Centre 200 and the Savoy Theatre. A 2003 graduate of the Jazz Diploma Program at St. F.X. University, Ian has been teaching drums privately since 2010. His rate for a private half-hour lesson is $23.00.
james munroe (Voice, Piano, Brass, Theory)

James started piano at age 11, trombone at age 13, started playing professionally in his teens as a trombonist, lead vocalist, and keyboardist, and began arranging for ensembles of various sizes at age 18. He studied Jazz Harmony and Arranging at Mohawk College and was a member of the Cape Breton Christmas Daddies House Band for over a decade, transcribing 4-part horn arrangements by ear on short notice. He has appeared on nationally broadcast television shows such as CBC's Ear to the Ground, CITY-TV's Breakfast Television, and Global TV, and in feature roles in various musical theatre productions including Oklahoma! and Les Misérables. He teaches sight reading, music theory (all levels) including jazz harmony and arranging, and improvisation across various musical genres including classical, jazz, blues, and rock. His rate is $25 for a half-hour lesson or $50 for 1 hour.
jennifer macdonald (Piano, Voice)

Jennifer is a singer-songwriter from Sydney, Nova Scotia who began playing piano at an early age. She has been involved with community music over the past 15 years in a wide variety of church choirs, fundraisers, concerts, and special events. Most recently she has been serving as a choir director at St. Paul's Presbyterian. Her rate for a private half-hour lesson is $23.00.
leanne aucoin (Violin, Fiddle, Piano)

Leanne is a certified Kinder Instructor, a classically trained pianist, and a Cape Breton fiddler and step dancer. She has played all across Canada, Usa and Europe.
