Andrew Kulcsar has been playing drums since the age of five and has been teaching since 2019. He took lessons with Long and McQuade and enjoyed playing in our Rock Band program as well. Andrew has played live with bands like Frontedtears, and Hearts and Knives. He currently plays with band Behind The Days (BTD) and artist ZAYD when they headlined at the Coors Event Centre September 2021. Andrew has studied and taught a wide variety of genres including classic rock, hard rock, blues rock, fusion, jazz, metal, and electronic drumming. His teaching methods include a focus on rudiments, note reading, how to count properly and keep a consistent rhythm, as well as ear training on how to learn and write out drum beats. Archer Schick has shown a passion for music since a very early age. He began taking drum lessons at Long & McQuade at the age of six. After enrolling in the Rock Band program at Long & McQuade, he developed a love for performance. Archer graduated high school in 2024 where he was a part of his school’s concert and jazz bands. Now he is currently playing with three different bands, rehearsing every week and playing live shows often. He is well-versed in rock, metal, funk, Latin, and many other styles. Archer’s teaching methods focus on the interests of the student while encouraging creativity, and aim to develop proper technique, a good ear, an understanding of music theory, and a wide-ranging musical vocabulary. Ben Redant has worked previously in the world of professional theatre and music in Saskatchewan, performing and working on shows across Saskatchewan for such theatres as the Globe Theatre in Regina, Persephone Theatre and Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, and Souris Valley Theatre in Estevan. Ben performed in casts onstage and as a musician, musical directed, composed, and even worked as a scenic painter in the world of theatre before eventually finding his place and steady work as a music teacher at Long & McQuade.
After spending the better part of seven years teaching piano and voice for Long & McQuade, Ben worked as the Lesson Coordinator for much of 2023 before deciding he missed teaching too much, and has returned to the teaching side of things at Long & McQuade. He looks forward to contributing more directly to students’ musical journeys through his talents, energy, and positivity. While classically trained, Ben has a great love for ragtime, early jazz, musical theatre, classic rock, and movie, television and video game soundtracks.

Brad Evanochko teaches a wide variety of musical styles on the guitar and bass including pop, rock, jazz, blues, and country. Brad has been teaching acoustic and electric guitar and bass since the mid 90's to all ages and levels of ability. Brad’s strengths include musical theory and technique, melodic improvisation and progressions, composition and ear training. He is involved with local band Sonic Orchid, has recorded and released albums, and performed at many venues throughout Western Canada including the annual summer festival Craven Rock Weekend. He also actively performs in local cover band Dangerous Cheese and 90’s rock band Whatever. Brad is also the coach and instructor for Long and McQuade's very popular Rock Band program. Brenda Stettner is a certified elementary and intermediate specialist through the Royal Conservatory of Music. She has been teaching piano, organ, and guitar since 1980. Brenda has experience with MIDI and multi-track recording, she composes and arranges music for herself and her students, and she prepares students for Royal Conservatory examinations and music festivals. Brenda believes in continuous learning and professional development, and is always looking for new ways to teach concepts in private lessons and master classes. Cora Lockert began singing lessons at the Conservatory of Performing Arts at the age of seven years old, participating in their Juventus Choir program. Cora has obtained high levels of RCM. Cora has been trained in classical, opera and musical theater and also has experience singing pop, rock, and jazz. Cora has performed in many recitals, Regina Music Festival, and Auditioned Scholarships during her time at the Conservatory. Cora attended Balfour Collegiate and was accepted into the Balfour Arts Collective program for grades 11 and 12, where she was cast as Dragon in their production of Shrek the Musical. Cora has worked with children in the performing arts for a number of years, as a dance instructor, a volunteer and assistant for the performing arts camps at the Regina Conservatory, and currently working as an assistant for the Senior and Advanced Glee programs at the Conservatory. She also participates weekly in the Long & McQuade Rock Band program singing in three bands. Cora loves singing and music and can’t wait to pass along her love of music to others. Dan Silljer is an accomplished musician who has shared the stage with an impressive array of talents in a wide variety of styles. Dan has toured with Virgin/Atlantic recording artist & Juno award winner Serena Ryder and Warner Brothers Six Shooter, and Juno award winning artist Jason Plumb formerly of the Waltons. He has also shared the stage with artists around the world including; John Blackwell (drummer for Prince), Greg Boyer (Trombone for Prince and Parliament Funkadelic), Jeff Healey, Bazil Donovan and Glen Milchem (Blue Rodeo), and Kevin Hearns (Barenaked Ladies). Danielle Ulatan began playing piano at Long & McQuade at the young age of five. She is a graduate of Luther College High School and currently attends the University of Regina for studies in Pre-Law. For the duration of her high school career, she involved herself in the Luther music program. Danielle participated in her school's band as a flutist. She was also a member of the Luther College Girls Choir, Senior Choir, and Advanced Vocal Ensemble (AVE). Danielle loved to involve herself in music based extra-curricular activities, such as Luther's annual musicals. Throughout her studies in piano, Danielle has participated in many annual concerts, recitals, and even achieved distinction for orchestral piano in the Long & McQuade Music Festival. Ellen MacPherson attended several Suzuki violin programs from the age of six, and pursued Suzuki Teacher training through the Suzuki Association of the Americas. She holds an active member of the SAA and does ongoing professional development through Suzuki institutes across North America. Ellen is passionate about Shinichi Suzuki's vision: that every child deserves an arts-rich education and the opportunity to study and play music, and that through the study of music children build noble character, self-esteem, and lifelong enrichment. Erika Krahn began her studies in classical piano at the tender age of five, beginning with lessons at home with her mother. As her skill and interest increased, she soon enrolled in private lessons at the Conservatory of Performing Arts. During this time, Erika actively participated in Music Festival, where she would be awarded first place in various individual and duet pieces over the years. As she continued classical training, she also began to play keyboards for her church bands, learning to follow chord charts and play by ear. In 2007, she passed her examinations to achieve Level 8 certification in Classical Performance in Piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music with Grade 2 Theory. After graduating from university in 2015, Erika moved to China for five years, where she taught school full time and offered private piano lessons. She also volunteered making musical arrangements for her school’s high school choir. After taking a few years to be at home with her young children, Erika is now looking forward to returning to teaching and sharing her love of piano with new learners of all ages. Jack Dublanica has a BA in Theory and Music History and has been playing the banjo and fiddle for over 30 years. Joshua Tumala's musical journey began at a young age when he was first introduced to music by his family, which led him to develop a keen interest in all kinds of music. Joshua holds an RCM level 8 in piano, was a past Gold Medal recipient (highest mark in the province), and continues to expand on his practical and theoretical knowledge. She is an examiner, clinician, adjudicator, and has trained many piano teachers. She has co-written and piloted programs for pre-school children and primary piano students. Mandy Ubell holds both a Vocal Performance Diploma, and a Music Production/Engineering Diploma from Selkirk Music College in Nelson, BC. Nat Bowen has been playing and teaching drums for many years. He became obsessed with drums after his brother brought home a pair of drum sticks and after seeing Nat's excitement, his parents enrolled him in lessons at The Academy of Music (now the Long and McQuade Lesson Centre). Nat's love of drumming inspired him to continue his musical education and he had the opportunity to learn from numerous instructors. After years of study, he returned to Long & McQuade as an instructor to share his love of drumming with others. Nat has been involved in numerous musical projects and marched with the Rider Drumline from 2015 until 2020. Nat teaches a wide range of musical styles and rudimental techniques. Natalia Espinosa has been playing violin over 30 years and has over 10 years of teaching experience and is a certified Royal Conservatory of Music violin teacher.
She started playing violin at the age of 3 at the prestigious academy by internationally renowned Suzuki teacher Yuriko Kuronuma - where she studied under current Chairman of the Japanese String Teacher's Association, Shigeru Tachiki. At age 7, Natalia began her studies at the National Conservatory of Mexico City. In 2006, Natalia moved to Canada and she completed her Bachelor of Music Performance and Music History the University of Regina – where she also took several courses in Music Theory, having an interest in Schenkerian theory/analysis. Natalia studied violin under former concertmaster of the RSO - Eduard Minevich and has been playing Cello over 7 years as a student of former principal cellist of the RSO, Cameron Lowe.
Natalia is an accomplished performer, having previously played with the University of Regina Symphony Orchestra, Regina's Community Orchestra, the National Conservatory Symphony Orchestra of Mexico City, Artime, The Ben Winoski Project, Poltava Mandolin Orchestra, and with other local musicians.
Currently, Natalia is working as a Luthier apprentice under Regina's violin maker Gary Robertson.
Natalia teaches violin, viola, and cello at the Regina store. Her rate is $28 per half-hour.

Nathaniel Schellenberg has been playing drums since he was four years old. He has been taking lessons for over a decade and has been taking percussion lessons at the U of R for four years. He is currently enrolled at the U of R in a Bachelor of Music Education Degree (BMUSED). Nathaniel has been playing live gigs and performances with bands and other musical groups since 2016. He has studied extensively in several genres and styles including but not limited to: rock, prog, funk, punk, fusion, jazz, hip hop, and metal. He has also studied basic and advanced rudiments and theory. Nathaniel teaches drums and percussion at the Regina store. His rate is $25 per half-hour.

Nina Maxwell is a Royal Conservatory of Music Certified teacher for elementary and intermediate piano. She holds her Grade 9 Piano, and Theory and History/Harmony Grades 9 and 10 with the Royal Conservatory of Music. She continues to expand her knowledge and credentials and is currently studying for her Grade 10 Piano and Elementary Piano Pedagogy through the RCM.
Nina has over thirty years of teaching experience with students ranging from the very young to retired seniors. Her specialties include exam preparation (classical, popular, and theoretical) and helping special needs students to achieve success. Nina is listed as a recommended teacher for special needs children with the Autism Resource Centre in Regina. Over the years, many of Nina's students have received outstanding marks on examinations and music festivals, including for a recent Royal Conservatory practical examination session, several Distinction and First Class Honors results, and 2 gold medal winners for the highest mark in the province! Nina has also attended many workshops and seminars on handling stress and uses the Brain Gym techniques as additional learning tools. She is also the accompanist for the Circle of Friends Ladies Choir.

peyton snow (Voice)

Peyton Snow is a student at the University of Regina, working on his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. He is an avid vocalist who has been a part of various music groups. Most recently, he was a part of the Saskatchewan Youth Choir. In high school, he sang in the Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, and Vocal Jazz Ensembles, also taking part in musicals throughout the year. He has learned a wide array of musical styles through various school classes he took such as Musical Theater, Popular Music, Classical Choral, and Vocal Jazz. Peyton teaches voice at the Regina store. His rate is $25 per half-hour.
seye popoola (Piano, Pre-School)

Seye Popoola has been teaching piano and theory for many years. He holds theory certificates with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) and is working toward advanced levels with the Royal Conservatory of Music. He is a church organist and choir director. Seye has accompanied his church choir for performances and has accompanied his choir students who have achieved excellence in their examinations and competitions. He also plays the trumpet, violin and clarinet. Seye teaches piano at the Regina store. His rate is $26 per half-hour.

Stina Ulvid has been studying music for over 12 years, and has been playing violin for 7. She is currently attending the University of Regina for a Bachelor of Music and Music Education degree. She plays in the U of R Orchestra and sings in the Concert Choir as well. Stina is trained in the Suzuki method, and teaches both classical and contemporary violin. Tia Gibson believes that all people are capable of learning music and she thoroughly enjoys walking through the learning process with her students. She has earned her Level 8 Royal Conservatory of Music certification, with First Class Honors. She has also participated in many music festivals and earned several 1st and 2nd place awards, including one for original composition and one for quick study. Tia has more than 5 years of experience teaching students of varying ages and abilities and is known for her warmth, care and patience. Tia has taught over 200 beginner pianists to effectively read piano sheet music. Although Tia now resides with her family in Calgary, she continues to offer online lessons for L&M students. Her rate is $26 per half-hour.
ukeme enoch (Drums)

Ukeme Enoch has shown passion for the drums which was nurtured by gospel roots since his early age. Dedication and enthusiasm have led Ukeme to a career as a drummer that is well-versed in Gospel, Afro, Reggae, Pop, Funk and many other music styles. He has been teaching and mentoring since 2019. Ukeme was given the honor of being the first drummer to open the floor and get things started at a newly created drum festival, which was the first event of its kind in his community. Shortly after, He was endorsed with Soul-tone Cymbals and got the chance to work as a drummer with "Lyssa and The Try-tones," recording the band's debut EP "Basement City View." His band “Lyssa and The Try-tones” was nominated for best R&B Artist for the year 2023. As of now, Ukeme is working with Lyssa and TheTry-tones, ELEV8_MSC Band. Ukeme’s teaching methods focus on the interests of the student while inspiring creativity, and aim to develop proper Rhythmic comprehension, Rudiments, Note Reading, Tracking/Recording drums on any DAW including Drum setup/Tuning. Ukeme teaches drums at the Regina Store. His rate is $25 per half-hour.
