Carlos has over 39 years of experience in teaching groups and private music practice, and has been active in the music business as a performer, arranger, clinician, adjudicator, and music educator. Carlos’ education includes attending the Conservatory of Music in Mexico City, RCM, and numerous courses at Berklee College, University of Rochester, The University of Edinburgh, and National University of Singapore. Carlos works with students of all ages and levels while incorporating fun activities and creates personalized lessons for each student. His rate is $31 per half hour.

Chris Rolin (Bass Guitar, Guitar, Ukulele)

Chris Rolin has been playing guitar professionally and teaching students and producing music for various artists for over 35 years. He attended the Capilano College Commercial Music Program and is currently working on his Masters of Music in Guitar from Berklee College. Chris’s rate is $29 per half hour.

Gary Grace (Drums)

Gary is a powerhouse player when it comes to drumming, he has won numerous awards for his ability including The Roland V-Drum National Grand Champion back in 2009. Gary has done various studio work, and has toured with many top Canadian recording acts, including Farmer's Daughter, Rick Tippe, Dave Martone, Nick Gilder & Sweeney Todd, and his current band Prism. Gary has been teaching drums and percussion since 1982 for all styles and ages. His rate is $30 per half hour.

James Lee (Guitar, Mandolin, Ukulele)

James teaches lessons at the Chilliwack Long & McQuade on guitar, mandolin and ukulele - with over 25 years of study, teaching, and live performance experience, James' love for music shines through, and his passion for helping students discover their musical ability is self-evident.⁣ Born in London, England, and moving to Vancouver as a teen, he embraces and teaches many styles of music and counts traditional genres such as Blues, Jazz, Pop, Country, Soul and Folk among his personal favorites.⁣ James is a session musician playing guitar with Canadian recording artists Chris Corey and Coal Davie, among others. His rate is $28 per half hour lesson.

Jeff Bowman (Bass Guitar, , Guitar, Trombone, Ukulele)

Jeff Bowman has over 47 years teaching acoustic/electric guitar, electric/upright bass and trombone. He has received the Toronto Conservatory Grade 10 certificate with honours in classical guitar and studied classical trombone at Capilano University in North Vancouver. Performing groups include the “Jones Boys” at Harrison Resort in Harrison Hot Springs. Jeff's genres are classical, rock, country, blues and jazz. His rate is $28 per half hour.

Lance has been a professional musician for over 30 years, playing with touring bands such as Trooper, and Nick Gliden. He was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2023. Lance enjoys sharing his musical experience and technical expertise with all his students. He offers a fun and relaxing professional method of learning. His rate is $29 per half hour.

Marina Shamkina (Piano)

Marina Shamkina has been teaching piano and theory since 1997. She holds a BMus in Piano Teaching, and an MA in Music Education from Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University, Russia. Marina specializes in preparing students for RCM and BCCM examinations, as well as music festivals. She has a keen ability to identify each student’s unique talents and tailors her teaching methods to ensure they learn with joy and confidence.
Her rate is $29 per half hour.

Natalja Seiljus (Piano)

Natalja has been passionate about music ever since she began playing piano at 7 years old. She graduated from the Vologda Regional College of Arts (VRCA) in 1983 from the Faculty of Piano & Rudiments following her education at a performance arts school in Estonia. Natalja’s top priority is promoting a positive and stress-free environment for her students - it is important to her that each student enjoys their lessons, sees results, and is able to play songs as early as possible. Natalja’s rate is $28 per half hour lesson.

Susana Williams (Voice)

Susana Williams has over 20 years of experience teaching music to children, teens, and adults, specializing in voice, drums, percussion, and songwriting. She studied at the Juan Jose Landaeta Conservatory and The Roland Learning Centre in Venezuela and received the Jazz Studies Capilano Program Award. Currently, she is pursuing a BA in Music at Vancouver Community College, majoring in drums. Susana has also developed educational content for Musora Media Inc. As a performer, she has appeared at international festivals, including the Vancouver and Manila Jazz Festivals, bringing a diverse, global perspective to her music teaching. Susana’s rate is $30 per half hour lesson.

Ted Pilkington (Banjo, Bass Guitar, Guitar, Harmonica, Lap Steel, Mandolin, Ukulele)

Ted has been performing and teaching professionally in a variety of formats for over 40 years, primarily as a guitarist and bassist, though proficient on many other instruments including banjo, mandolin, and ukulele. He was a BC high school music teacher for several years before retirement. He is proficient in many styles of music, from Dixieland to modern day. Ted's love of music is evident and his relaxed teaching style is focused on what the student wants to learn. His rate is $28 per half hour.

Tony McBride (Drums, Percussion)

Tony 'Mad Fingers' McBride has been performing and teaching for over 35 years. He teaches Country, Dixie, Blues, Ragtime, Metal, Rock, Jazz, and Pipe Band. Tony was educated by John Fisher, J Reid Maxwell SFU Pipes & Drums and Dave Fells of the New Westminster Pipes & Drums. Tony has previously toured with China Blue, Unchained, Genuine Jug Band, Papa King and The Boogie Men and The Coal Harbour Boys. His rate is $29 per half hour.
