Sara received her BA from Queens University in music and has studied with the Royal Conservatory of Music. She is currently completing her Master’s of Education. Her undergraduate research interests are in musical pedagogy, specifically working with children with developmental disabilities and sacred music. She has worked with all ages, styles and levels of learning, from young children to the elderly. She has a passion for teaching and immense love for all those she teaches.

Sarah Lévesque est diplomée du collège Lionel-Groulx en 2019 en chant pop/jazz. Elle a eu la chance de travailler auprès de M. Gino Vannelli et de perfectionner son art avec divers enseignants, enseignantes et formations à plusieurs niveaux :technique vocale, interprétation, technique de studio, jeu devant la caméra, ateliers de composition et autres. Elle a participé à plusieurs concours de chant, devant le public et aussi à la télévision qui l’on amené autour du Québec. Son parcours musical l’amène également à faire la première partie de plusieurs artistes et groupes connus tels que : The Brooks, Louis-Jean Cormier, Émile Bilodeau entre autres. Polyvalente, elle est aussi choriste professionnelle ainsi qu’auteure-compositrice-interprète. Ayant elle-même fondé un band neo soul, elle est habituée à jouer en groupe. En constante évolution, elle poursuit présentement ses apprentissages au Baccalauréat en chant pop/jazz à l’UQAM. Elle travaille actuellement sur du matériel personnel aux couleurs neo soul/RnB/pop qu’elle souhaite partager avec le public. Sarah Lévesque is a 2019 graduate of Lionel-Groulx College in pop/jazz singing. She had the chance to work with Mr. Gino Vannelli and to perfect her art with various teachers and trainings at several levels: vocal technique, interpretation, studio technique, acting in front of the camera, composition workshops and others. She has participated in several singing competitions, both in front of the public and on television, which have taken her around Quebec. Her musical career has also led her to open for several well-known artists and groups such as: The Brooks, Louis-Jean Cormier, Émile Bilodeau among others. Versatile, she is also a professional singer-songwriter. Having founded a neo soul band herself, she is used to playing in a group. In constant evolution, she is currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in pop/jazz singing at UQAM. She is currently working on neo soul/RnB/pop material that she wishes to share with the public. She is looking forward to meeting you and sharing her passion and knowledge with you!

Scott Jolicoeur is a guitarist based out of Toronto, ON, who is quickly becoming one of Canada’s renowned classical guitarists. He has played and taught all styles of guitar, with specialization in classical guitar.
Scott has studied with many great guitarists including Dr. Ian Hodges in Winnipeg, as well as Jeffrey McFadden, Jorge Caballero and Rob Macdonald at the University of Toronto. While at the University of Toronto Scott also studied with Judicaël Perroy in France and René Izquierdo in Spain. From his studies, Scott has developed a well-refined method for teaching the classical guitar. Some of his previous students have completed examinations at the Royal Conservatory of Music, achieving Honours. Scott has participated in Competitions in Canada and the United States. As a teenager, he earned first place in the open division (ARCT and above), at the Ontario Music Festivals Association Provincial Competition.
Lately Scott teaches, plays music at events throughout Toronto and plays concerts in various cities. Scott Jolicoeur is a versatile young professional, who continues to perform and help students of all age groups reach their goals.

With over 25 years of teaching experience, multi-instrumentalist Scott is a highly experienced and passionate musician and pedagogue. Starting on guitar at age 12, his passion grew for music as he gained proficiency on brass and woodwind instruments through community bands. After completing a Bachelor of Music at Acadia University, Scott returned to his roots and worked as the music director/conductor and training officer of the Mersey Band where his duties included teaching all new members of the band, regardless of age or skill level. After studying at Western University in London, ON, earning a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance and Pedagogy, Scott worked as a soloist, chamber musician and conductor in southern Ontario for several years before returning to the Maritimes in 2023 to work as the Clarinet Teaching Artist at the Saint John Centre for SistemaNB. Scott teaches all single-reed woodwinds, flute, brass, and guitar. Scott's rate per half hour is $26.00.

Sean McQuilter is a performer and music teacher from Bracebridge Ontario, with a Bachelors of Arts in Music from Algoma University. Fasciné par les groupes cultes tels que Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden ou The Beatles dès son enfance, c'est à l'âge de 17 ans que Sébastien fait l'acquisition de sa première basse électrique. Sa passion pour l'instrument se révèle rapidement, ce qui l'amène à rejoindre la concentration musique de l'école Jean-de-Brébeuf pour sa dernière année au secondaire, et à suivre des cours privés de manière assidue.
Quelques années plus tard, il décide d'étudier la basse électrique jazz et la contrebasse classique au Cégep de Sainte-Foy afin de poursuivre une carrière professionnelle en musique. Entre les études et l'enseignement, il performe également avec plusieurs orchestres de rock, métal, jazz et de chansons populaires, tant avec des compositions originales que des reprises. Il participe également à l'enregistrement de plusieurs albums, notamment avec les groupes Hatalom et The Flaying.
Son parcours l'a aussi mené à travailler comme disquaire durant plusieurs années, ce qui lui a permis de se découvrir une passion pour la musicologie et l'histoire de la musique. Ses horizons se sont ainsi élargis, et son intérêt pour de nombreux autres instruments, tel que la guitare, le ukulélé, le piano ou encore la mandoline, a pris naissance.
Bientôt de retour sur les bancs d'école afin de compléter un baccalauréat en interprétation jazz et pop, Sébastien partage maintenant sa passion et ses connaissances avec vous, pour vous aider à atteindre vos objectifs et à dépasser vos limites, tout en vous amusant et en cultivant vos intérêts.

Serkan is a session musician and a drum teacher in Halifax, NS. For over 25 years he has been playing and teaching percussion. He completed the Specialist Drummer Certification Program from Berklee College of Music in 2014. He has written 3 drum books which were published by Fundamental Changes, England: Rock Drumming for Beginners (2017), Drum Rudiments & Musical Application (2017) and 200 Paradiddle Exercises for Drums (2018). Over the last few years, he has been recording and performing with various artists such as Campbell & Johnston’s Band, Charlie A’court, Dan Doiron, Superfluid Collective and Tyler Mullendore. Since 2015, he has been representing Turkish Cymbals as an endorsing artist. He is offering drum lessons to students of any age and drumming experience (beginner, intermediate and advanced levels). Sherry majored in voice at Crouse College of Music at Syracuse University in New York and at the University of Manitoba School of Music and earned a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education. She taught at the St. James Assiniboia School Division at the K to Grade 6 level for many years with numerous award winning choirs at the Winnipeg Music Festival. Sherry was a broadcast music director, and on-air host for the Woodsmoke & Sweetgrass TV show from 1973-1994. She has composed and arranged many pieces for children including Skydance that debuted at the International Orff Festival. Sherry teaches at our Winnipeg (Pembina) lesson centre.

Skip played in rock and blues bands before getting into traditional music. He was a member of the house band on the iconic Up Home Tonight show on ATV. He's performed with The Ladies Choice Bluegrass Band, The Gordon Stobbe Trio, and The Richard Wood Band, and has toured and recorded with a wide range of musicians such as Graham and Eleanor Townsend, Calvin Vollrath, and Peter Dawson. Skip has transcribed a number of books of fiddle tunes for Mel Bay and has been teaching for over 35 years. His rate per 30-minute private lesson is $27.

Spencer has been playing music since the age of 11, studying through the Royal Conservatory method.
Early in his studies, he became a church pianist up until attending Western University to further pursue his musical education.
After attaining a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Philosophy, he joined the Deagu theatre group as a piano accompanist and musical director while overseas.
Returning to Canada, he continued teaching privately and playing with local bands as well as working with various theatre groups.
Lessons are based on students’ goals in music and what is needed to reach those goals, including technique, theory, RCM certification prep, or ear training.
