Peter has a passion for drumming and has been teaching percussion and playing drums professionally since the 80s. His background, education and experience includes a variety of styles; ranging from pop music, rock, jazz, funk, world music, classical, and marching band. Peter began his formal musical education at the age of 10, studying with a number of local drum teachers; including Ken Moore and John Fisher. He also attended the VCC Music Program. He has been the dynamic drummer of the popular local band, Dr. Strangelove, since 1992. He also performs with many other local musicians and bands on a regular basis. The core essence of his teaching philosophy is to create an atmosphere of freedom and fun. Lessons range from beginner to advanced, and are tailored to each individual - taking into consideration age and level of experience. His rate is $29 per half hour.

Peter has a Bachelor of Arts with Music from St. Francis Xavier. For five years he was a solo and ensemble guitarist on Norwegian and Princess Cruise lines playing everything from rock ‘n roll through jazz, country, R&B, various finger styles, and classical music. Pete has played drums, bass, guitar and keyboards in a variety of local bands. He won the 2010 Canadian Boss Loop Station championship as "The Duke of Loops". Peter Wainwright has been a fulltime performer and private music instructor for over 40 years and has taught and performed on guitar, bass, ukulele, banjo and mandolin. He earned his grade 10 classical guitar certificate from the Royal Conservatory of Music in 1982 but teaches all techniques and music genres. He has extensive experience performing as a soloist, in bands and in ensembles of all sizes. Il détient un DEC en interprétation piano classique au Collège Lionel-Groulx et il complète actuellement un BAC en enseignement de la musique à l’Université du Québec à Montréal. Il a participé à plusieurs concours dont Cégeps en spectacle et il a aussi performé à maintes reprises devant public lors d’événements de regroupement; dont lors de l’ouverture du tout premier concert de l’Orchestre symphonique Lionel-Groulx Rive-Nord. Il a fait partie du Choeur Lionel-Groulx et il est présentement choriste parmi les Vagabonds de Boisbriand. Philippe aspire à partager sa grande passion pour la musique afin de permettre aux futurs musiciens d’apprendre dans la joie et le plaisir ainsi que d’atteindre leurs objectifs personnels au rythme de chacun. Il enseigne le piano classique, pop et jazz depuis 2018.

Philippe Bourdua discovered a growing passion for the piano when he was in high school. He holds a DEC in classical piano performance from Collège Lionel-Groulx and is currently completing a BAC in music education at Université du Québec à Montréal. He has participated in several competitions, including Cégeps en spectacle, and has also performed many times in front of an audience at group events, including the opening of the very first concert of the Lionel-Groulx North Shore Symphony Orchestra. He was a member of the Lionel-Groulx Choir and is currently a chorister with the Vagabonds de Boisbriand. Philippe aspires to share his great passion for music in order to allow future musicians to learn with joy and pleasure in order to reach their personal goals at their own pace. He has been teaching classical, pop and jazz piano since 2018.

He has collaborated with such Quebec artists as Laurence Jalbert, Mario Pelchat and Lynda Thalie. He also freelances for various musical projects in a variety of styles. He has mastered many styles, including pop, rock, blues and jazz. Phoebe was born in Hong Kong and started learning the piano at the age of four. Phoebe completed her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education at the University of Calgary. She has taught in many music programs of all grades in school, such as music theory, band, choir, and jazz band, in both Hong Kong and Calgary. She has over 15 years of teaching experience and can help all students learn piano regardless of age or learning disability. During her practicum, she was a conductor of 96 students in a music band. Currently, she teaches over 450 students in the music program with 2 amazing doctoral colleagues majoring in music. During band festivals, Phoebe plays in the band as a pianist as a request from the music doctors. She also teaches flute and clarinet in school bands starting in grade 5. Phoebe can also speak Cantonese and loves teaching piano for all ages. At Long & McQuade Calgary East, she is the founder and director of the Mini Orchestra since 2016. Pierre Deschênes is originally a self-taught guitarist who played his favorite bands like AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Iron Maiden, etc. He started playing at 12 years old knowing he wanted to play since early childhood. He went through high school playing with his friends with similar tastes in music but also different ones, and here he discovered jazz, blues, and classical music. In 2018, he enrolled in Université de Moncton to study classical music. Since then, he refined his skills on guitar and gained knowledge in theory, composition and sight reading. Violinist Regina Kim is a devoted teacher, and Honours graduate of the Wilfrid Laurier Music Education program, providing mentorship to students of all levels. Her commitment to education is further underscored by her coaching at the Kincardine Summer Music Festival and her pursuit of professional development, which includes participation in the Jacobs School of Music Retreat for Violin and Viola Teachers at Indiana University and an Advanced Violin Pedagogy Course at the Pro Violin Institute in Germany.
