Ibukun has been a self-taught pianist ever since his interest in the piano began during his senior year of high school. He made the decision to take music more seriously and began taking classes from professors and accomplished musicians. Ibukun wants to give students a comfortable environment where they can express themselves creatively and make them feel and enjoy every note they play. As a performer, his music captivates audiences with its delicacy and thoughtful humour.

Irina débute son parcours musical dès l'enfance avec le piano et le balalaïka.
Elle obtient son diplôme d'études supérieures en interprétation en piano et balalaïka ainsi qu'en direction d'orchestre à l'Académie d'État de la culture et des arts de Kazan en Russie. Irina a par la suite travaillé, pendant 10 ans, à l’Orchestre d’État des instruments folkloriques de la ville de Kazan, avec lequel elle participe à des tournées en Russie, en Allemagne et en Corée du Sud. Pendant ces années, Irina enseigne dans une école de musique où elle dirige plusieurs groupe musicaux qui participent à différents concerts et festivals de la ville de Kazan. Ces groupes remporteront plusieurs prix!

Bien qu’elle soit déjà une musicienne accomplie, Irina ajoute par la suite des études en Philosophie de l’art et Philosophie de la musique à son bagage. Irina est heureuse de pouvoir continuer sa carrière d’enseignante de la musique ici au Québec.

Irina began her musical journey from childhood with the piano and the balalaika.
She obtained her post-graduate diploma in piano and balalaika performance as well as a conducting diploma at the Kazan State Academy of Culture and Arts in Russia. Irina later worked in the City of Kazan’s State Orchestra of Folk Instruments. She played with this orchestra for 10 years and she toured Russia, Germany and South Korea. During these years, Irina teaches in a music school where she leads several musical groups that participate in different concerts and festivals in the city of Kazan. These groups will win several awards!

Although she was already an accomplished musician, Irina later added studies in Philosophy of Art and Philosophy of Music to her baggage.
Irina is happy to be able to continue her career as a music teacher here in Quebec.

A graduate of Cégep de Ste-Foy in music, then of Université Laval in music education, Isabelle has been teaching music for some twenty years in primary and secondary schools in various regions of Quebec. In Trois-Rivières, she has taught in the music-study program at Académie les Estacades, at école Chavigny and at école des Pionniers. Having started playing music at the age of 8, she began learning the clarinet as a teenager. She specializes in wind instruments and conducting. Isabelle has conducted the Orchestre Philharmonique de St-Hyacinthe for 2 years, as well as several other wind ensembles in various master classes, including the Royal 22e Régiment in 2019. Committed to the development of music education in Quebec, Isabelle is a member of the F.A.M.E.Q (Fédération des associations des musiciens éducateurs du Québec) and has also served as president of the A.M.E.Q-Mauricie.

Ms. Wan is an accomplished pianist who began her music studies from Douglas College (BC), then completed her B.Mus in Music Education with a minor in Linguistics from University of Toronto. She studied piano under the tutelage of Dr. Barry Barrington, Dr. Leslie Kinton, and Mr. Boris Zarankin. After attaining intermediate performance knowledge of multiple orchestral instruments, she pursued short-term studies in the George Hurst Conducting Course at the Canford School of Music (now Sherborne School of Music) in Dorset UK. Additionally, she participated in the Saarburg International Music Festival in Saarburg, Germany studying chamber music with musicians from around the globe. Ms. Wan also volunteered as the assistant conductor with the Royal Canadian Air Cadets of the 800 Black Forest Squadron. With many years of Teaching experience behind her and various awards and certifications such as RCM Advanced Specialist in both Piano and Theory , she continues, as she has done for over 26 years, to regularly prepare her students for recitals, competitions, and the Royal Conservatory of Music examinations. She’s also a singer/songwriter for the past few years and came out with her first EP Takes a Little Thought. She loves teaching the ukulele and wants to inspire others to enjoy the instrument too.

Jaime Carrasco is a drummer/percussionist/educator, born in Chile, but raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, where he currently resides and performs/teaches. Jaime has been drumming for almost 40 years, and has been teaching for 20 years (has been teaching at Long & McQuade for almost 14 years). Jaime has a College Jazz Diploma from Malaspina University-College (now Vancouver Island University) (1999), and a BFA w/ Honours in Music (major in Jazz Drums, minor in Carnatic (South Indian) classical percussion) (2002). Some of his teachers include: Barry Elmes, Trichy Sankaran, Jim Blackely, Clarence Penn, Alvin Atkinson, John Riley, Eric McPherson, and Quincy Davis. Aside from freelance work, Jaime is currently involved with several projects, including, Slow Train Home (country), The Leftists (power pop, follow-up album to debut (Demonstrate) is being finished as we speak), Claire Therese & The Lockdown (debut album, Villainy was released earlier this year) IJG (Impressions Jazz Group), and The Adventures.
