The Orange Crush Mini is designed to give you classic Orange tone in a small, lightweight package. Whether you're jamming in your bedroom or warning up backstage, the Crush Mini is the perfect companion.
The simple controls give you access to all kinds of classic sounds. Crank up the Gain for heavy distortion or dial in clean and crunch tones by backing off the Gain and turning the Volume up. A quick tweak of the Shape control (anticlockwise for more mids, clockwise for more scooped) and you're ready to rock! Another exciting feature of the Crush Mini is the Speaker Output (8 Ohms minimum). Hook this up to pretty much any speaker cabinet and get ready for a surprisingly big sound!
The Crush Mini features a built-in tuner, as well as a headphone output that mutes the speaker for silent practice. You can also play along to your favourite tracks using the Aux In. Powered by a 9V battery (included) or an external 9V DC adapter (centre negative), the Crush Mini switches on automatically when you plug in your guitar.

Question: The battery compartment is located where? From photos on website couldn’t see any compartment cover. The external power is AC and 9V what amperage?

Answer: Battery compartment is on the bottom.
The adapter should be 9v 500 mA. Any standard 9v pedal adapter will do the job.

After 5 years of usage (home), the amp functions impeccably. It did, as stated before, work very well with the previously mentioned Traynor cab.
About 3 years ago, I acquired at my local L&M a Marshall Ori 2X12 Slanted as it reminded me of my old Marshall 1990 8X10 in a much more manageable format (and less weight). I like the style of it. It's unfortunate these cabs (Ori 2X12) have increased so much in price. It truly sounds amazing with the mini! It's a perfect set-up. I highly recommend it and like it more than the Traynor DHX112 (which of course is an excellent cab though brighter).
I recommend using the mini with the prescribed adaptor. A cab rated at 160W needs power. Though not a stage set-up, it can get very loud for home setting.

The Orange Crush MINI is arguably the best mini amp available on the market. I have owned over the years quite a few small amps from a Hotone MojoAttack, the Traynor pedal amp, and the Orange Tiny Terror, all of them very good on their own. However, the Orange Crush Mini is something else!
On its own, it compares to minis available from other manufactures. It's secret, none of the others share, is its 1/4 inch cabinet output. As a reference, I own the Orange OR15H head which is excellent amp. I highly recommend. After reading reviews on line, I was greatly impressed by the new version of the Orange Crush Mini. With it's very affordable price, I ordered one from my local Long and McQuade. And what an amp! The staff at the Belleville L&M after a try out through a Traynor DHX12 cabinet (I cannot say enough about this amazing cabinet!) were smiling from ear to ear. If one already own a good cab (the mini's 3 watts can handle everything: 1X12, 2X12, or 4X12) and your main amp is to powerful for home practice, $80 will solve your problem. I'm not joking. Over the years I have used a Marshall early seventies 50W head, a 50W Hiwatt 50W head, a fender Twin Reverb, A Marshall Class 5 Head, and the other small amps referred to earlier. The Crush Micro is IT. I wish I still owned my Marshall 8X10 cab from the early seventies to try it through.
I gave such high marks to the mini for its use with my Traynor DHX12. Of course, it isn't as impressive through its 3" speaker though it is very usable. If you compare it with its included speaker, the little combo is equal or better than its competitor in the same price range.
As usual, the Belleville store staff was outstanding! Thanks especially to Travis!

When I read the online reviews, they said there was an input jack, but there is not. The sounds on the clean side are OK. The distortion is tinny, high pitched and harsh on the ears.
I already have one of those Micro Marshall stacks. I was hoping this would be better sounding. It's not. It has a tuner built in, so I guess that is what the $20 difference in price is about. When it comes to good sound in a battery amp, do some research on busking amps. You'll pay 3-5 times the price, but you'll get 100 times the sound.

Very simple to use and pretty much what you would expect from a 3w amp. Until you use the external output and go into a cab. WOW! Can't keep up with a band by any means but you still get some killer tones and it's great for recording!

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.
Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.
How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
- Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
- Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
- No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
- Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
- Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
- Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
- Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
- Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
- Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.
Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.
Purchasing additional years of coverage
Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.
If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:
- NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
- USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
- GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
- BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
