I got this rosin because I was told it didn't crumble and I was tired of losing bits of my other one into the carpet and into the instrument. I was shocked at the price but a friend explained that if it lasted years, it really wasn't expensive overall.. So. I tried it.
True enough to the online reviews, the product is amazing. I had to scratch my old rosin with my keys in order to get it going, plus it was brittle. I dragged my bow across this one and it immediately coated evenly. Didn't have to touch the brick at all for it to work. My cello is quite a bit louder with this than the old rosin, and I don't need to put as much pressure on the bow for it grab. If this does in fact last years, it will be a good value.
