Amazing! Bruce Greer has taken a favourite and familiar hymn, already arranged countless times, and given us an arrangement that is stunningly fresh, yet tasteful and uncontrived. It has a profound simplicity that never sinks to sentimentality. Warm, simple faith is both the focus of the text and the overall flavor of the piece. The rich harmonies of verse 3 will be a favourite spot, but all the voices are nicely balanced and thoroughly accessible. The piano accompaniment is full but nicely playable.
