The JCM25/50 Silver Jubilee Series was produced in 1987 to celebrate 25 years of Marshall Amplification and 50 years of Jim Marshall being in the music business.

Inspired by this acclaimed series the 20 Watt Mini Jubilee combo and 'small box' head combine classic Silver Jubilee preamp tone, features and styling in a lower power, 'mini' design.

This contemporary 'mini' take on the Jubilee Series features an ECC83 & EL34 valve-set, High/Low output switching, (20 Watt to 5 Watt), FX Loop and independent 4/8/16 Ohm speaker outputs. The 2525C combo is loaded with a single 12" Celestion G12M-25 Greenback speaker.

In keeping with true Jubilee tone, the 2525's preamp is identical to the full sized 2555X amp, released in 2015, made using the original diagrams and checked against the original 2555 Silver Jubilee head in the Marshall Museum. The amp also features classic silver vinyl and chrome plated panelling to complete the Jubilee look.

For Home Use Only Review. Electric guitar like other instruments, violin, trumpet, saxophone, should be played loud. This combo is perfect for Home use on 5 Watt setting with matching 25 Watts Greenbacks speaker. On 20 Watts setting you can also find good tones to play at home. Marshall Jubilee 2525c combo is a rare MASTERPIECE of HIGH Quality for home use amplification.

If your looking for the classic jcm800 tone, look no further! Having owned many Marshall amps in the past, ( jcm900, jcm800, and DSL), I can honestly say that this is the best of the bunch. Great crunch with a ton of gain on tap and really good cleans, reminiscent of my old jcm800 4212.
The greenback took a few months to break in and even out in the top end but sounds great now. As others have pointed out, the eq is really active and takes awhile to dial in. The 5 watt setting is handy for home practice but the amp opens up and sounds best on full power.
The one caveat I have encountered is when jamming with a heavy handed drummer in a loud rock band the amp cuts it close to maxing out volume wise.
I have to dial the master up to 7.5 to hang in with the band. Something an extension cab would take care of most likely.
More than enough headroom and power for ever other gig or jam I have used it for though.
It is a bit pricey for a 1x12 combo, but it delivers the goods in the sound and looks department. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a classic Marshall sound.

Had a buzz due to a loose transformer casing. Not worth $1999. Fixed it myself. Don’t waste your money on new.

Great amp but I had to tear it apart to find an annoying buzz somewhere in the chassis. It was a transformer. The casing was loose causing a buzz when bass strings were played. For $1700 plus interest this should not be happening to a amp in this price point. Took me 5 months to pin down the sound. Distortion growls. I isolated the transformer from the chassis with q-tips then screwed the transformer back down. All is good in the world again. I would purchase a used one as opposed to brand new.

Sounded a little flubby, so i cranked it and played for about an hour, then let it sit in standby over night and now the tubes are cooking like they should. Speaker seems to need some break in time. Dont let the initial demo of this amp deter you. Its definitely meant to be cranked.

40 years I’ve noodled, jammed and played. Over those years I’ve bought, sold and traded an obscene amount of gear. This is hands down the best combo amp I have ever owned. It is a Marshall, so don’t expect the cleanest of cleans. 5W / 20W setting adds to the versatility. The EQ has a wide range. Effects loop and DI output a major plus. Plug this into a 1960A or 1960AV 4x12 to move more air. This is the one for me.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
