This alluring all-koa version of the GS Mini pairs a solid koa top with layered koa back and sides, serving up an inspiring blend of looks, feel and sound. The compact Mini's scaled-down design delivers ultra-portability for players on the go and couch-friendly comfort for picking at home, while the rich, full voice belies its size. The patented neck design guarantees signature Taylor playability, and the shorter 23.5-inch scale length makes forming a chord a breeze. Onboard ES-B electronics invite you to plug in whenever you're ready, and feature a convenient built-in digital chromatic tuner with an LED display for tuning and low battery indication.

Features

GS Mini Shape packs a ton of tone into a comfortable travel size, giving you a guitar that's full-voiced and incredibly fun to play.

Hawaiian Koa Top Wood - A koa top's visual beauty is instantly inspiring, while its sonic rewards unfold over time, as warm, sweet overtones gradually emerge.

Layered Koa Body Wood - Koa veneer is part of the resilient layered construction on the 210ce-K DLX and 214ce-K DLX.

ES-B Electronics - The ES-B pickup incorporates Taylor's Expression System 2 piezo design elements and features an onboard preamp with a built-in digital chromatic tuner. The preamp/tuner unit features an LED display for tuning and low battery indication, along with Tone and Volume controls. The preamp/tuner is powered by two button cell 3v lithium (CR2032) batteries. Two new batteries will provide approximately 300 hours of use.

Non-cutaway - The clean, symmetrical look of a traditional acoustic guitar.

First guitar purchase in 15 years. I was looking for something small, light, with full size tone and electronics, not a "baby" or travel guitar. The ones on my short list were parlour size acoustics with pickups but they were not currently available so this was one of the first alternatives I picked up and played. Normally I favour rosewood but the koa version GS Mini was significantly richer in tone and the more I played it the better it sounded. Also very good amped up. Check it out.

I purchased the Rosewood mini for my daughter and I like playing it more than my 322 (which I also love...) This guitar is the perfect daily companion. It’s a pleasure to hold, it sounds like a Taylor and it travels like a champ. I will be getting my own. I have real feelings for this guitar and I recommend it to everyone.

Since I got my Mini-e, it has been played more than any other. The sound is warm, and plugged in you could not tell the difference between a bigger Taylor and this with eyes closed. Plus, the smaller size makes it super comfortable. Two of my guitar playing buddies want to buy the same guitar, so that says something. The koa top is beautiful, though it will get a bit of shine where touched most often. I bought a hard case for mine, but most of the time it stays on the wall so I can grab it quickly. Yes, it's a lot of money, but the value is in the playing. My only real complaint is the tuner button can accidentally be turned on through the soft case.

Only had it for a few months now but I like the size the eveness of the sounds. I had a Martin M 000 that I loved as I was playing swing backup guitar. Long story short, This gtr works for that and for much else. Peter

Watched a million reviews, played a million guitars, kept coming back to this one, to me was the most comfortable, sounded the best in the entire store in terms of acoustics at least. To my ear anyhow. Beautiful instrument, electronics system is top-notch, super portable, sounds 10 times bigger than it actually is, what’s not to love! Highly recommend all the GS mini lineup. This one happens to be my favourite because it’s the most beautiful and has the nicest preamp system.

For the past six months or so I have been considering getting a new guitar and visited the local long and McQuade store here in Fredericton and I played pretty much every guitar there, from $200 guitars to $6000 guitars, but I just kept coming back to this GS mini Koa, so was super happy to pick it up last weekend. One of the most comfortable guitars I’ve ever played, perfect size for playing on the couch but sounds amazing plugged in as well. Koa is so much brighter than spruce or mahogany and I feel it suits the size of the guitar and gives it something extra. Just love the tone. Spectacular to look at due to koa’s unique colour and grain. I’ve read and watched a ton of reviews on this guitar and as most people would agree, it is a must-have for any guitar player! Will make a wonderful addition to anyone’s collection. Thanks to the gentlemen at the store for the always great service.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
