I have 2 Telecasters. This Brad Paisley Silver tele and a Custom Shop 52 Telecaster. Going back and forth between each you wouldn't know you're going from a custom shop to an MIM. The 2 have very different tones, not one better than the other just different. I guess it has a chunky neck for a MIM but not big and chunky like the Nocaster U on my CS 52. For me it would have been perfect if the neck on the Brad Paisley was a bit chunkier. But its still enough girth where it doesn't bother me. The first time I ever played one of these was about a year before I bought one. Played it through a real 1965 Deluxe reverb and the 2 together was magic. Playing it through my 1967 Fender Pro Reverb is equally magic. Its hard to believe that my custom shop 52 tele is my heavy guitar at 6.9 pounds. I haven't weighed the brad paisley but it can't be much over 5 pounds. Feels so good hung over the shoulder and I don't have any neck dive.

I currently own several Tele's and have had numerous others over the years (USA + MIM + Custom Shop). This Brad Paisley Tele is equal to the best I've owned. In particular: - the bridge pick-up is pure quality Tele sound, I can't say anymore. Tele bite with no shrill spikey ice pick sound. The Twisted Tele neck pup pairs really well with the bridge. Tele nirvana clean and early Jimmy Page with distortion (no lie). - neck shape is very subjective, but this is like a custom neck shape. Comfortably chunky at the nut and a bit slimmer toward the bridge. I absolutely love it. Plays effortlessly. - I'm not too picky about weight (within reason), but this is ridiculously light. The Paulownia/Spruce mix seems to work here. The tone is crisp and clear - notes ring out played through a clean Super Reverb. I like the silver sparkle finish, not crazy about the paisley pickguard but its easily changed. CTS pots inside, cloth wired pickups and an upgraded jack. A bit pricey for a MIM (which is a legitimate concern) but I totally see what was trying to be achieved here by Fender/Brad Paisley. They nailed the quality/design but kept the price reasonable. I rank this tele as one of the best I've owned and played without exception. The features and construction are unique to this model Tele, and I've never come across a similar design. No regrets whatsoever with this purchase.

I have owned this guitar for a few months, gigged with it and I can totally say that this guitar is by far the best guitar I own. It has the perfect punch and smoothness that a versatile country guitar needs. On top of that, the vintage hardware adds to the overall "worn" aesthetic of the guitar, which is actually worn down to bare wood as opposed to being finished all around. The guitar is also incredibly light, so you could play it all day without getting sore like a regular Tele. The neck fits perfectly into the hand pocket without any strain on any fingers. Between the custom wood, custom wound '63 pickups, and custom neck profile, the Paisley Telecaster is almost a custom shop guitar without the custom shop price tag. Wholly worthwhile. My only two critiques of this guitar would be that sometimes the strings fall into the screw groove on the saddles - which can be fixed with a file - and the finish feels a little strange without it being a gloss finish. Other than that, it is a crazy good guitar, especially for the price.

This is an amazing guitar for its price point! The neck profile is perfect, the pickups sound incredible and the pawlonia/spruce tonewoods in the body make for a great telecaster. Brad Paisley and fender have produced my ultimate tele!

I love Tele's So I just picked this up that the store yesterday and plugged it straight into the dirt channel (low gain) of a Traynor Guitar Mate that was on the floor. To start, I am not a fan of relics or 'road worn', MIM Fenders, Sparkles OR Brad, really - although I do recognize he is an immense talent. But this thing has mojo. As soon as I picked it up I was very pleasantly surprised and I spent at least an hour playing it non-stop, and I honestly feel like it was one of those guitars that I actually had an emotional reaction to - in that everything just seemed to play itself. The neck is beefy (Something else I don't normally prefer) and the guitar is unbelievably light. (5 lbs!!) The body is apparently a sandwich of spruce/paulownia. And although it is the obvious contributor to the weight - I believe the tone was the main reason for this selection. This thing rings and sustains really well....almost feels hollow or chambered. The neck is chunky but the radius allows for it to feel very natural and it really is a ton of fun to play. As far as the pups are concerned they sound stellar to me, but I expected nothing less. The bridge is so spanky and yet ballsy This is definitely one of the coolest Tele's I have ever set my hands on!

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
