EVERY SINGLE TIME you have one, the screw that holds the slide arm in place will fail. EVERY SINGLE TIME. They should package a roll of tape with each one of these as you WILL need to use it to hold it in place. Our rehearsal room as about 4 of these, all broken the same way. Now my home one has gone as well after just months of minimal usage.

I bought 4 of them for our church a few months ago.
All of them are now useless.

I went through two of these stands back to back. Bought one, returned it, bought another and returned it for something else.
Just for the home studio, barely any stressors on it at all. Stripped threads on both of them. Very poor build quality.
Buy it on sale, and then duct tape all the joints and don't move it again.

I bought one of these last year and after three gigs the sleeve that holds the boom to the stand broke, making it pretty much useless. I mended it using some fine wire and CA glue, but then a couple of gigs later the wingnut for clamping the boom in place broke. I can mend it too, using the same material, but seriously, the quality of the material is horrible pot metal. I would give Quality a 0 if this form would let me.

Purchased: Summer 2023.
This is a good stand for infrequent use and with light mics. I connected a Shure SM7B and the weight has been a challenge as the boom sags. It's better when I keep the boom length very short, but that thumb screw has now stopped working. I thought I'd save some money as Yorkville's robust model was more. It would have been a better choice.
