True Analog 12-Voice Polyphonic Synthesizer with 4 FX Engines, 2 OSCs and LFOs per Voice, 3 ADSR Generators, 8-Channel Modulation Matrix, 32-Step Control Sequencer, Tablet Remote Control and Built-In Wifi

The DeepMind 12 Analog Synthesizer allows you to conjure up virtually any sound you can imagine with unparalleled finesse and ease. Thanks to its 4 FX engines, dual analog OSCs and LFOs per voice, 3 ADSR Generators, 8-Channel Modulation Matrix and onboard 32-Step Control Sequencer, the DEEPMIND 12 gives you complete control over your soundscape. Plus, DEEPMIND 12 features comprehensive remote control via iPad*/PC/Mac and selected Android• Apps over USB, MIDI or built-in Wifi for a custom-tailored workflow that lets your creative spirit soar to new heights.

FX Rack

Behringer has included 4 simultaneous FX engines with over 33 world-class TC ELECTRONIC, MIDAS and KLARK TEKNIK algorithms including Reverb, Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Delay, Multiband Distortion, and many more. Custom-designed and physically modeled after some of the most iconic and sought-after processors, DEEPMIND 12's FX were essentially "rebuilt" in the digital domain and put right at your fingertips. All effects run inside the low-latency environment of the DEEPMIND 12, ensuring flawless performance and flexible routing.

12-Note Polyphony

The DEEPMIND 12 boosts your creativity with 12-note polyphony. Each voice has 2 oscillators, with OSC 1 generating sawtooth and square/pulse waveforms with pulse width modulation, and OSC 2 generates square/pulse waveforms with a unique tone modulation. With 24 oscillators at your disposal, a tremendous range of options becomes available including the following oscillator modes: Unison 12, 6, 4, 3, 2 Mono; Mono -2; Mono 4; Mono 6; Poly; Poly 6, and Poly 8. The addition of oscillator sync, oscillator drift and parameter drift allow the recreation of the much sought after warmth and movement found in vintage analog synthesizers, with greatly improved reliability and stability.

32-Step Control Sequencer
The control sequencer features an adjustable slew rate, MIDI sync, and allows a 32-step pattern of values, which can vary from -127 to 127. Other parameters that can be controlled include: note value; tie and length; slew; and swing.

Pure Analog Signal Path
A modern reincarnation of a beloved analog classic (with true bypass studio-grade FX), all of DEEPMIND 12's sounds are purely analog all the way from OSC 1, which generates sawtooth and square/pulse waveforms with user-definable pulse width modulation (PWM), and OSC 2, which generates square/pulse waveforms with tone modulation. The combination of square/pulse waves on OSC 1 and tone modulation on OSC 2 gives the DEEPMIND 12 a boldly unique and fresh character.

High Pass Filter
The 6 dB High Pass Filter (HPF) in the DEEPMIND 12 lets you set the lower cutoff frequency of the output signal. The accompanying Boost switch applies a +12 dB bass boost to the signal path to fatten up the bottom end.

You Are Always in Control
DeepMind 12 has: 26 sliders; 33 switches; 1 rotary encoder; 2 knobs; 1 spring-loaded pitch wheel and 1 assignable, spring-loaded modulation wheel. All are laid out in a highly-intuitive format designed to put the joy back into your music creation.

Pitch and Mod Wheels
Spring-loaded pitch and assignable modulation wheels are conveniently placed for easy left-hand access, making the DEEPMIND 12 the ultimate live performance and studio-ready synthesizer.

Large LCD Screen
The large and easy-to-read LCD screen provides rapid parameter editing and program selection on-the-fly, for a total hands-on performance with real-time access to all important parameters. The screen shows the synthesizer status, parameters, and the five main menu pages: Connectivity; Keyboard; Pedal; Fader and System. The contrast and brightness levels are adjustable on the System settings page of the GLOBAL menu.

Something to Remember
The patches loaded into DEEPMIND 12's memory were designed by some of the world's finest sound designers, and all of them are available for your modification. Your parameter settings can be stored in one of 1024 available user memory slots, which feature a convenient compare and match function that helps you match all analog controls to the values stored in the program. DEEPMIND 12 provides more than enough memory to store several soundtracks and even entire shows.

When it comes to not just pushing the envelopes but creating them, DeepMind 12 gives your imagination its polyphonic voice and it's so very affordable. Modern performance calls for the classic analog sound with all the digital advantages it calls for the Behringer DeepMind 12!

It sits by my OB, and holds its own. Amazing synth, way under priced. Only flaw, no poly-sequencer. Sonically stunning! Good keyboard, mod and pitch wheels. I hate to part with the keyboard, but with Deepmind 12D (Desktop) I trade down in keyboard quality(no keyboard) but gain external keyboard with poly-sequencer. You could, of course, add the poly-sequencer to the full size Deepmind 12. That combo would be perfection if you have the room.

I had it in mind to buy a Moog Sub 37, and still do, but after messing about with the Deepmind 12 for a bit, at Long and Mcquade, of course, I decideded to go for it. No, it doesn't sound anything like the Moog, which still remmains on my list, but it offers advantages and features that, for the price, just make it a worthwhile consideration. It's when you start tweaking sounds, or creating new ones, that the true power of this synth will 'get discovered'. A majoirty of the factory patches are quite delicate arp based sounds and ambient tones, and basses, which are great in themselves, and it would seem, at first, not much in the way of lead synth punch. This synth, however, can get at some very impressive phat and aggressive mono leads that can cut through a mix very nicely. The only fault I found was in a bit of clipping on certain sounds, but after toning down the output level, that was gone completely and the sounds were buttery smooth. The built in blocks of effects are very programmable, and can be rearranged in any way desired. They are very high quality and add a lot to this synth. The control sequencer is also very handy. Bottom line is that this synth does sound great, and it gets even better when you start tweaking sounds and/or creating your own. It's layout is very similar to the Roland Juno 106 I used to own, but it doesn't sound anything like A juno, or any other synth...it does have it's own unique character/flavor. I did connectyt up a Roland Boutique JU[06, and a JX-03 and combined sounds from those, as layer additions, and the sound was massive. It would have been nice if the Deepmind 12, like so many other synths these days, had an audio input to enable processing of external synths/sound modules, and to use the effects on external gear as well as internal, but, given what you get for the price, can't complain really. I nkow that Behringer has had a reputation regarding quality control, especially in times gone by, but in regards to this workhorse synth, I have found no issues at all, and it sure is built like a tank. No flimsy feeling plastic body here...as solid as, well, heavy metal. Would I forego on my idea of eventually acquiring a Moog Sub 37? No, not at all. I can see using that one along with the Deepmind 12, for it's definite Moog style leads, and the Deepmind 12 for pads, ambient sounds, and all else that it can do. The software editor is also a very useful and well integrated tool that makes programming the synth even easier, and great for organizing and reorganizing sounds. In conclusion, it, perhaps, wouldn't hurt to note the fact that you can create new banks and label them any way you like as sub categories, if you wish. I've created one called 'favorites' where I can put most used sounds together for quick and easy access during a project performance. The Deepmind 12, after all, does not have front pnel buttons to access favorites. I could go on, but enough said already. I am very ssatisfied with this purchase and give this product five stars, in spite of a few limitations, because I don't think you can get a better synth for the price. So, I would definitely recommend this synth to anyone burning to get their hands on a good analogue synth...I mean, 12 voices to mess around with, stack, or use polyphonically...the Juno 106 that obviously provided the inspiration for this synth had only six voices. If that synth would have had all that is in the Deepmind 12, it would have been a MONSTER JUNO. Do try this one with a JU-06, if you have one. That will then give you a good idea as to what a Juno 106 might have been like, if it had what is in the Deepmind 12. Great synt5h...and also, kudos for great service at Long and Mcquade's.

No Joke, sold my CS-30, Pro One, SH-101, TI and Radias and put the money into my retirement fund. I am happy as a pig in P@@P. Thank you Behringer for making synthesizers affordable.

For such a small price tag, this synth packs allot of features. No, its not a Moog, or DI, or Juno. But it does have its own sound, and its not a bad machine at all. I ran a UAD moog filter on it, and its very buttery and rich. The synth is built like a tank, very solid, heavier than expected. I can see it holding up for many years to come. Pads and Bass are fantastic and I have gotten some pretty good leads out of it all in a few short hours of messing with it. The FX section sounds amazing and the "juno" layout and PC interface are tight. I'm running the audio in through my Virus TI2 and taking advantage of the extra processing I can get with the TI. I can see this used on many future tracks. Don't pass this synth up just because Behringer doesn't sound as sexy as Moog, its a very good synth.
