Bob Curnow continues to add to his prolific arrangements of the music of Pat Metheny & Lyle Mays with one of their more popular tunes, "Phase Dance." Set in a genre all their own, this Latin/Fusion style piece has exciting ensemble passages that light up the tune, rich harmonies that add tremendous depth, and exciting rhythms that propel this chart forward. There is solo space for trombone and piano, and the rhythm parts are almost entirely written out. Originally recorded on the first Pat Metheny Group album in 1978 called Pat Metheny Group, this chart represents the birth of a new era and will add great variety, interest, and excitement to any concert program!
