As recorded by the Oliver Nelson Orchestra, "Heidi" is the 3rd movement of the Impressions of Berlin suite. A gorgeous solo feature for alto saxophone throughout, this piece builds from a quiet beginning to a very powerful point (a "Bolero" type of tension as the piece develops) before it diminishes to a quiet ending. The "pro" version includes flute doubles, wider brass ranges, and a lengthier solo (a la Nelson's recording). Extra parts have been included for alternative solo players. This a great chart to let your featured soloist really shine!
