The mids and highs on these are very clean, very nice for home recording with my 2488. I previously used cheaper Audio Technicas, and now those sound like junk. These are a "Shure" thing :-)

Lows aren't the very best in its price range, but they do the job, very deep, nice sound.
Mids are very nice, very crisp, and produce a good sound.
Highs are crisp and tight, very nice sound, great sounds.
One negative thing is that these headphones are fairly bulky, and aren't the best for travelling with, they do not fold, and can take up a lot of space.
They are pretty comfortable and are fairly light.
Overall, these headphones are excellent, fantastic for the price range.
