Yamaha's MD-BT01 gives you simple and easy wireless connection from instruments with MIDI IN/OUT terminals to iOS and Mac devices, making it easy to use a wide range of music applications wirelessly for even more enjoyable performing and composing. A wireless MIDI connection means not having to worry about plugging anything into an iOS device, and the devices themselves (iPhone/iPad/iPod touch) can also be charged while using apps without worrying about the battery running out.

This works great and setup is very easy. You can use is direct in any piece of midi gear but I use it plugged into a patchbay so I can control any piece of midi gear or computer software synth with my ipad or ipod. So many uses.
