I’ve been using this ride since 2003 and it holds up today in any style- rock, metal, jazz and funk. If you’re looking for a versatile ride with a killer bell and clean ping this is it! Not the best to crash, but I have other cymbals to crash in my set up.

I have the older, HH version of this ride and it's simply the best ride I've ever played and it's not even close. Same almost soft, buttery feel as other HHX cymbals but bounce and articulation are not an issue at all. Light, clear pings on the cymbal with stick tip, with just a great wash. Bring the shoulder down to the edge and you get a gentle crash with a pleasingly short decay. The stick shoulder on the the bell is bright, distinct and round, and cuts without clanging or clunking. Works for rock, jazz, funk, fusion, gospel, whatever. I have a mix of AAX and HHX cymbals and it blends well with both.
