It's strange to me how people will pay $10-12 more for a pack of strings. Most of the other nickel roundwounds aren't significantly better for that extra money. They're not amazing by any means, but, they're definitely good for the cost.

Wow! I haven't bought these for literally 20 years. I went through the usual stuff like Ernie Ball, D'addario etc. I just felt like trying them again for the heck of it! $14.99 and I love that they are Medium 45-105 like the EB Hybrids I like.
For the price, quality and performance and with a properly set up bass, they sound, feel and play great with value to boot. Highly recommend to anyone who doesn't have a favorite string.
Thanks,

The price made me try them as I go through a lot of strings and was hoping to find a brand that still offered a decent string but at a lower cost than the big brand names.
New the sound bright, which I like,
Kinda rough texture but that’s to be expected....however no matter what I do I couldn’t get the A string to intonate properly , always flat on the fretted 12 ....and playing octaves you could hear the string was out.
Regret not using the money for my regular daddarios...you get what ya pay for , and these l&m strings were a disappointment, which most house brand strings are and I should’ve not have expected any less....

Response from Long & McQuade
Hey Jacob, You should try adjusting the intonation on your bass, or have us set it up. I highly doubt that a new set of strings would cause intonation problems.
More than likely, the new strings just revealed that you have a problem with the bass.

Works great for the price but are not good strings for shorter scale basses

Tried a set of these when I bought the Jazz in Feb. I wasn't expecting much at that price range but I have been very surprised at the crispness and durability...several gigs since.

Finally a decent sounding set of strings that last as long as more expensive brands. For my money, L&M bass strings do the job as well as any string out there, and at a price that even musicians can afford!!

Put a brand new set on, very light use only a couple of times and the D string snapped at the ball end :(
No warranties for strings!
Buyer beware!

Works fine for my Jay Turser P-bass copy.
Why spend more on strings? At this price, I can experiment on different gauges without going to the poor house.
Thank you L&M
