There is the old saying "you get what you pay for." That DOES NOT apply to this instrument. In my opinion, I got much more!!
I own and play tenor ukuleles but I bought this unit today to give a baritone ukulele a try. I did not want to spend too much in the event the baritone was not for me. I was pleasantly surprised!! After tuning it I found that I could not only play chords for D tuning but also C, and all with the strings tuned to DGBE. The overall fit and finish of the instrument is superb for this price point and the intonation and sustain are better than any of my tenor units - even my KALA KA-T.
The size of the unit, fret spacing and neck width make for very comfortable playing and there is no string buzz.
Now if only a baritone ukulele could sound like a tenor or concert I would do a switch over without hesitation.
