I've been using D'Addario EXL110 and EXL110w for almost 40 years and I've switched to Super Slinky 9-42s. After watching a certain video on string gauge and tone, I thought I'd try the EB in a lighter gauge....I'm convinced. The tone is as full and tighter while allowing a lighter touch and better bending. I play standard E or Eb tuning on 24.75" scale fixed bridge guitars. Sticking with EB Super Slinky 9-42s for the foreseeable future.

I have been playing on Ernie Ball strings since the start of the year and the quality is very good and I would say it is worth it for the price. I used to use D'Addario nickel wound 10-46 and I can tell a big difference in tone from th 10-46 to the 9-42's. it went from a softer sound to a more crunchy sound. it is also easier to bend and do hammer ons and pull offs. 100% worth buying!

I’ve been playing Earnie balls for 6 months now and they’re great. Just wish they’d last a bit longer but that’s just what happens when you’re playing the strings for 2 hours a day.

The strings themselves are great, can't go wrong. If you already planned on buying multiple sets, you might as well get the 3 pack. You save about 60 cents a pack.
