Volume One of this two-part series, an approach to jazz improvisation for the beginning player, with copious exercises and a full complement of great compositions with rhythm section. The entire album is based on the Dorian mode. The chords in each exercise are II minor 7th chords. Includes a 64-page music book with full instructions, exercises and compositions, featuring printed parts for C, B-flat, E-flat and bass-clef instruments; and a compact disc with the rhythm section on the left channel with melodies and solos on the right channel. By lowering the right channel you remove the recorded solos, enabling you to play along with the rhythm section.
