Worst guitar even owned. Had it for almost a year and never played it cause it's unplayable. Even after a professional set up in store, it's unplayable. The strings sit on the Frets. Can't wait to get rid of it.

Everything from the features, to the design, and to the color scheme is just great and quite unique for this price range. Looks great, feels great, sounds great with a good amp. Might require some maintenance and tweaking when you buy it, so make sure that someone has a look at it first. The one I picked up had the housing for the whammy bar loose, and other owners have said that the housing straight up fell out inside the guitar, as well as other issues with quality control, but it's not hard to see that when they're selling a great guitar well below what people would expect when looking at it and hearing it.

a flat and boring sound , the body is too thin which coming from someone who is FAR from a gibson fan boy is saying something as it doesn't work for a les paul. The fret edges are sharp (get long and mcquade to do something about it if you buy it). The guitar won't stay in tune more than a week so buy a tuner if you haven't. what I like about it the scale length is excellent. I love 25.5 and it's widely accepted for metal players, best of all you can tune low and sound good. I personally love 27 myself or 26.5 but this works well. There are 24 frets which I actually use the 24th so it's excellent , love the look and choice of colors on the red and black one. The pickups coiltap as well which is great you'll be able to get strat sounds without bringing extra guitars on stage or to a rehearsal. ways to improve , well it is an affordable guitar not meant to be played in world tours but anyways.. *make it thicker - more tone , more sustain *get grover tuners that are 18:1 in this asap! the tuning stability isn't great on this *an original 1000 floyd rose or a german schaller floyd rose are a must for touring musicians. I'd also suggest a brass big block to make there be a ton of volume and so forth to really make the guitar sound great.

Eyed them up for over a year, had some extra cash, went and bought one... Best guit I own now. Sits right next to a Kramer pacer I've had for over 15 years. I was worried about the Floyd on a set neck, so I bought a neck plate in case it separated on me but it hasn't yet... I love this guitar.

When i bought this guitar everything was good to go, i brought it in to get the strings changed and the headstock snapped and left a big crack along the head bolts, it got replaced under warranty and they made the headstock a little bigger I sold it for 320 because the locking system became more of a hassle then a feature

Great looking guitar. Has a very good neck. Only one problem the bridge need to be lowered. But overall I have been getting good comments about it. I have been bringing it to school and back, heavy but it has a great sound.

Great guitar! i have only one complaint about it. The ploastic fine adjustment knobs. It would have been nice to see these made of metal to add some rigidity to them but that can easily be looked past as the plastic seems to get the job done, so far. The features for the price are amazing and the although i had to float and intonate my FR bridge upon purchase it works great!

I played this guitar at Long & McQuade and fell in love with it. It's super fast neck with ebony board smokes! Alnico pups sound fat & heavy yet clean. A very sexy looking guitar too. The Floyd Rose needed adjustments, (wasn't intonated properly). Once done, she plays awesomely.Couldn't find a better guitar for around $400.00

amazing guitar, i would recommend this guitar to anyone who likes the les pauls. It is very thin an light weight but still has all the sustain and clarity of a les paul. The floyd rose tremelo is great, had no problems exept that their is no bridge adjuster so when you tune down to drop c or lower you cant really use the wamby bar. Overall this is a mean guitar with outsanding features and I too can honestly not see how this guitar is in this price range, fabulous!

this guitar has everything. the floyd rose trem system, coil tapping, and outstanding looks. This is the best guitar I have ever owned by far. its neck is a satin finish on hte back which is great for fast fingers. the neck is feels kinda like a ibanez wizard neck. over all this is a great guitar, solid, great sound, and good for any type of players, beginners of pros. I recomend this guitar, still cant beleive it is in this price range.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
