A tonally versatile guitar with time-honored Fender style and sound, the Deluxe Strat has a few tricks up its sleeve. Special switching unlocks extra pickup combinations for those moments you find yourself needing a little extra kick to stand out. Combining noise-free performance with enhanced playing comfort, this sleek instrument is a truly deluxe performer that excels on stage and in the studio.

Three Vintage Noiseless pickups offer all the clarity and articulation you've come to expect from Strat pickups - with no hum. A push/push mini-switch discretely tucked away between the tone controls, yet still easy to reach, activates the bridge pickup in positions four and five on the selector. Use the bridge and neck pickups together or combine all three pickups for flexible tone that can meet the needs of any song. Enjoy smoother travel when using the tremolo bridge, thanks to the modern two-point synchronized design, which includes bent steel saddles for classic aesthetics. A contoured neck heel and 4-bolt asymmetrical neck plate make it easy to comfortably reach the upper registers of the neck. The flatter 12"-radius fingerboard makes it easy to play fast leads and perform deep bends without fretting out. Locking tuning machines provide enhanced tuning stability, along with quicker string changes.

The ash body bears a highly durable gloss polyurethane finish that will easily stand up to hard playing, keeping the instrument like new for years to come. Classic aesthetic touches include nickel/chrome hardware and a three-ply B/W/B pickguard, along with aged white pickup covers, control knobs and switch tip. Melding classic Fender style and sound with upgraded modern components, the Deluxe Strat is perfect for players who need a wide variety of authentic Fender tones on tap.

Interesting design. Inlike a lot of strats, this model has a hotter neck pickup, rather than a hot bridge pickup. It gives a tigh tlow end with lots of contouring to th etone. That said, the output of the pickups are lower than most previous MIMs. Also, the Also the N3 silent single coils are very quiet, but again are not rated as highly as other models, such as Lace Sensor pups, however I don't see that as bad. This guitar excells at rhythm playing because of the balance between neck and middle pickup. I find the middle pickup charming, super clean. The enabler button turns on the bridge pickup in positions 4 and 5, which gives youa whole new more compressed but also tidy sound. It also saps some of the volume from playing but it allows an increible boost of vulume from the switched turned onn [for rhythm] and turned off [for lead playing]. Glassy sound, not overly bassy but a rich middle tone that sparkles and is unique. My only complaint is the electrons as the switched don't change the tone or volume all that much until you REALLy dail it up or down. Overall, this is a wildcard design. Get the HSS setup on other models if you want more power, but if you love clean playing this guitar is hard to beat.

I got this guitar as a replacement for a quality defect from a MIM Strat - Classic Series '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar. The paint quality is too bad for its price range of $1000 for a MIM. This guitar should have been excellent - good tone variety, play-ability and the cosmetic looks but after 3 months of playing it keeps getting out of tune. When I tried to re-tune it the strings keeps falling apart from the locking tuner (looks like that's how it is designed). The bad side is, one of the tuning knobs got broken as I loosen the screw from the back. It is so weak and I thought it was made of plastic. But turns to be a brittle cast iron. I immediately went to the store and the sales guy gave me a full refund to stand on their no-lemon policy. I will be more careful with MIM quality from now on - it's like a hit or miss thing. Fender should be strict on their quality control or someone is loosing more customers.

This guitar can be mistaken as an American Strat if not on the serial number and MIM mark. Craftsmanship is excellent as well as play-ability. This guitar can sing up to the heavens! A real keeper.

I rented this guitar for a month and instantly fell in love with it. Tried out several MIA strats before finally deciding to purchase this one. The fret board might have been ever so slightly smoother with the MIA strat, but not an extra grand smoother. This is a gorgeous guitar with seven distinct voices.

Okay, let me start by saying I am no expert with guitars. I just love playing them and I am very specific with the sound I want. I had an American Special HSS I bought just a month prior to swapping it with this one. This MIM just blows that Am Spec away. It would have cost me a few hundred dollars to make that Am Spec sound the way this one does. Vintage Noiseless pick ups plus locking tuners make this guitar a winner. The fretboard is not as smooth as the Am Spec but it is still great . I paired this one with a Mustang GT100 and a friend I just jammed with said I sounded like Eric Clapton which was the sound I was trying to achieve. Love it!

Saw the legend Mac Demarco playing it, so I picked one up and started ripping on it and I have to say it's a beauty. Has great pickups and the tuners ate fantastic. One problem is that the strings break incredibly easy.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
