Don Macdonald is quickly becoming a composer known for his "cross-over" style combining classical integrity with jazz stylings. In his "notes from the composer" included on page 2 of the octavo, he encourages singers to use the notes as an outline but feel free to stylise the music. This is a real crowd pleaser.
