Fender Nylon Tape Wound Bass Strings 58-110
Your fretless bass will love these black nylon tapewound strings and their cool, jazzy tone. The flat nylon wrapping saves your fretless fingerboard from the wear caused by roundwound strings. Soft on the fingers and easy on the ears, Fender Nylon Tapewound strings are long lasting and very warm, tonally. Expand your horizons and try a set!

If you are familiar with Rotosound, La Bella, D'Addario, GHS tapewounds then these Fenders are unique among them. They have a rougher texture than the other brands but it isn't objectionable by any means. Just be aware they feel closer to a roundwound than flatwound string.
The tone is brighter than one might expect and have a comfortable, medium tension. Versatile and they last forever.
They have black silks at both the tuner and bridge ends.
I like them.

I went to Long and McQuade looking to pick up D'Dario tapewound strings but all they stock were the Fender tapes so I decided to try them. Rougher feel than I expected. They seem to be roundwound strings with a wrap. I was expecting flatwounds with a wrap. These are not for me.

I originally picked these up for my acoustic bass but I wasn't impressed so I put them on my 1978 Yamaha BB1000 and wow what a great tone, rock or funk, jazz or whatever .. low tension and easy on the fingers. I am sold on these.
