Application
High output humbucker built for aggressive playing styles. Recommended for old school metal, nu-metal, gothic, garage, punk, thrash and other heavy rock styles. Great for drop tunings.

Description
Yields high output while retaining clarity. The massive ceramic magnet and hot coil windings deliver tremendous power and raw distorted rock sounds. More aggressive than the SH-5 Duncan Custom. Comes with four-conductor hookup cable.

Complete Setup
Available for both neck and bridge positions. Often a Distortion bridge is paired with an SH-2n Jazz Model in the neck for good clean tones and versatility.

Guitars
For balanced and warm instruments. Works especially well with rosewood fingerboards.

Available Mods
Nickel or gold-plated cover. Trembucker. 7-string version.
players
John Connolly / Sevendust (bridge), Jerry Horton / Papa Roach (bridge), Meegs Rascon / Coal Chamber (bridge), Wayne Static / Static X (bridge), Eric Peterson / Testament (bridge)

Had a JB in the bridge of a Jackson that was stock so I swapped it out for this just because I had a JB in a Les Paul and a Kramer. I found the gain just as hot, slight less low mids and a bit more treble. Sounded like Megadeth. I was also playing through a Celestion Vintage 30 speaker cab with a Mesa Boogie Mini Rec head. Not as scooped a mid range as other Duncans like Black Winter, Pegasus or Nazgul but thats about as death metal as you can get. Sounds great without a cover too.

I have this pickup in the bridge of my Ibanez RGA42FM, and it does everything I expected it to and more. It's like a JB, except tighter and hairier with gain. It also boasts a surprisingly great clean tone. It's not as warm as that of the JB, but I personally prefer the extra brightness it has that the JB lacks. The good clean tone makes it very versatile, and you can use it for pretty much any genre of music. Must-have if you're looking for a pickup that can do anything you want it to.

I put one of these in a used Les Paul I bought a while back. The previous owner had replaced the original pickups & they didn't do it for me. This gave me some power & clarity & the tone I wanted from a Les Paul--with some extra sting. They're basically a JB with a stronger agent--and they sound similar. For classic rock, hard rock & stuff like that they work great, and they have a nice edge for blues as well.

I have the set in one of my guitars and these pick ups are really underrated in the line of Duncans. Amazing clarity and great cleans considering they are ?distortion? pickups. Very warm lows and great mid range not muddy at all. Overdriven/Distorted is where these really shine every note chimes, leads sear, power chords are chunky!
