As performed by the American Jazz Composer's Orchestra
Arranger: Russell Scarbrough
Format: Score and Parts
Instrumentation: Jazz Ensemble
Style: Rock Shuffle
Level: 5 (Difficult)
In homage to Stevie Ray Vaughan, this grooving rock shuffle is an extended-form minor blues with enough twists and turns to satisfy the big band aficionados. A confident blues guitarist is naturally required, as well as strong brass. A B-3 organ (or a good keyboard facsimile thereof) also will help. Solos for guitar, alto, and trombone, and the chart opens up for more easily.
