Taylor Guitars ES-Go Magnetic Soundhole Pickup for GS Mini
Additional Photos:
The ES-Go is an aftermarket, passive magnetic soundhole pickup that was developed specifically for the GS Mini. Anyone can install it in minutes with just a screwdriver thanks to the pre-fitted connecting bracket inside the guitar. Pair it with the V-Cable, which features a built-in volume control on the cord.
Q & A
Question: Will the pickup fit into a Little Martin LX-1?

Answer: The 2 guitars are similar in size, both in body and sound hole, so it should fit, but we cannot promise it will.

Answer: It would need a mount inside the guitar. The Taylors are made with a mount inside that the pickup clips into. the LX-1 does not have such a mount, so it or an alternative would have to be added.

Closest Store Kingston, Ontario
I purchased my GS Mini from the the Kingston Ontario shop (Thanks for the great service Tim!). Absolutely enjoyed the feel, sound and playability as soon as I tried it.
Next step was a pickup. Tim found an in-stock ES Go pickup at another store and brought it in.
The pickup is as easy to install as the videos say. I am NOT a DIY guy. But after watching the videos (4x) I got out my philips and went to work. Honestly, start to finish it took me 12 mins to do the install! The pickup looks like it belongs in the sound hole.
Plugged it into a small practice amp and I was LIVE! FYI - this is not the ES system ... the base needs to be pumped up and treble rolled back some, I also had to turn up the volume a bit. Once dialed in, it sounds (IMHO) just great.
One issue - no volume control. The V-cable on the Taylor web site is no longer available :-(. But when I called them they sent me the email address for the RapcoHozizon distributor in Canada. A quick email and two days later they had contract the Long and McQuade in KIngston. The special order was placed and a few weeks later the cable arrived.
The v-cable works PERFECT! Well made, no noise I can hear and the volume knob gives my "little friend" the control I wanted.
Love the guitar, the ED Go pickup (I give it 4.5/5) and the v-cable is worth the $$ (In March of 2018 - I paid $64+tax)
Thanks to the Kingston L&M team for your help.
