Looked at getting a 2nd pair of headphones. My other Tascam TH-02 are good and very comfortable but very little base comes thru when mixing music. So, I decided to go by the specs first and then look at the brand name. That`s how I ended up looking at this specs: Driver: 57mm Neodynium Magnet Frequency Response: 5Hz - 30kHz Sensitivity: 107dB (± 3dB / 0dB = 1V/Pa) Impedance: 64 ? (± 15% @ 1kHz) Maximum Input Power: 3500mW Connection: 3.5mm (1/8th-inch) TRS Jack Cable Length: 13 ft / 4 m What was that again? 57mm driver with 64 ohm??? 5Hz to 30 KHz ??? All this for $29 ??? I want one !!! And it was the last one too !!! Couldn`t wait to get home and hook it up to my controller. And man ... the base reproduction is unreal !! Now I can really hear the base as its being recorded, as oppose to constantly making test recordings to hear the way it comes out. That being said, there are other things that needs to be mentioned. Compared to my Tascam, the Apex is heavier - the big driver has something to say in all this. Comfort level I found it to be not as good as the Tascam. Although, I only tried it for about 10 minutes, the pads don`t seem to fully seat on the ear and they rather apply more pressure on the top part of the ear while just touching the bottom. I may also try to see it there is any change with the other pads although, I think those are just a spare... Cord is not replaceable and it`s partially coiled which helps a lot because its not touching the ground. Tascam has a straight long cable and constantly have to be careful not to step on it or not get it trapped into something. Apex comes standard with 1/8 audio jack but included is an adapter for the 1/4 that screws on. All in all, for the price point, this headsets have some amazing specs and its well worth the money. However, it would be better if these could be tried out before purchase... and not even for the sound quality but rather for the comfort level.

The price could NOT be beat for the quality you get: overall great sound for listening to music at work or for gaming. Strong bass response (although a bit boomy), mids and highs are decent. Comfort lasts about 1 hour (longer periods means comfort diminishes). Folds up for subway commute. Hardiness is lacking - cracking plastic is evident on top of unit right at stress points, only after 4 months of use (remedy will be duct tape). Tempted to buy again but plan to purchase a sturdier unit.

Just bought these. They sound great and are very powerfull. Strong bass response (maybe too much) Smooth mids and airy highs. Not so comfy for long periods of time, and they fit tight on the head. But, for the money they are really great.

With 3 kids we go through a lot of headphones, I bought a pair of these for my son 3 years ago. 3 years in the hands of a child and they are still as good as new. The bass massages your eardrums in a delightful way. the sound quality is better than other headphones I own that were 10 times the price. They put my Sennheisers to shame.

I had to exchange my first pair because the right channel broke. they come with two types of ear covers, a 1/4 inch jack, and vinyl case. I have been using the new pair for a few months now and I am really happy with them. the main reason why I bought them Is cause they have 57mm neodymium driver. which is huge. for the price they sound amazing.

I got these on sale for 40$ the other day. When I was testing them out & comparing them to the 100-300$ ones I noticed they where either just as good over even BETTER than 80% of them. I use them for mixing/mastering music, listening to tunes, & playing my electronic drums. I would definitely recommend them for all of the above. They have very good fidelity & clarity, they make my drums sound phenomenal. When you listen to music with them you hear it the way it was supposed to be mixed, which is awesome. The only problem I find with them personally so far is that when you're using them, the sound can be clearly heard by everyone else as well, so if that's an issue to you, you might want to find another pair. Other than that though, I find them to be a great deal, especially for the price.

These headphones were purchased for using with my Micro-CL and iPod when learning songs. Bass response is pretty awesome for cheap cans, and mids are impressive as well. Build quality is really good, and should last me a long time with moderate to light use. Pretty comfy to boot.

Bought these as temporary headphones but once I tried them I have been using them exclusively. They are speced the same as much higher priced Sonys and Pioneer.

Seriously, I've been DJing for as long as I can remember. I'm heading out this weekend with no time to pick up a new set of "quality" headphones. Well, picking these up as a temporary alternative was smart....because I no longer consider them temporary. The quality was awesome, nice comfortable fit, no distortion even with the volume at full. They'll be perfect for monitoring/cueing my music this weekend. Thank you Long & McQuade!
