The only choice for serious musicians. Nothing compares to Marshall cabinets in terms of awesome tone and projection. The Marshall 1960A cabinet is designed to deliver a big sound for live performances. It boasts an authentic 60's design and packs plenty of power with 300W.

Great sound and looks however are not everything. Marshall's speaker cabinets are also built to stand the test of time. Their highly skilled craftsmen construct them from the finest quality materials with precision corner locked joints, tough cotton backed PVC covering, heavy-duty hardware, and the highest quality fittings.

Features
• The 1960A is switchable from mono [4 or 16 Ohms] to stereo [8 Ohms per side], and is equipped with Celestion G12T-75 speakers.
• The highest quality woodwork includes the "corner locking" of each and every joint. This helps give Marshall cabinets the incredible strength and durability, which has become as legendary as the Marshall sound itself.
Heavy-duty Grab Handles are fitted to all Marshall cabinets. Their tough, ergonomic recessed casing design gives easy access to the bar of the handle without affecting the cabinet's smooth lines.
• No sharp metal edges or rough fittings - the smooth ABS plastic Marshall corner fits perfectly and offers excellent protection to all 8 cabinet corners.

Although they're made in England, the speakers (G12T-75) are made in China, since 2003 I believe. The Chinese G12T 75s are high quality (never thought I'd ever say that), but Celestion has really kept a low profile regarding their outsourcing. I bought a 1960a cab today that says 'made in England" on the rear jack cover but to my surprise after opening the cab, I saw the new Chinese G12T75s I admit, had i not opened it up, I wouldn't have noticed any difference in sound

Bought new, both top and bottom cabs ...both ended up with a stripped socket causing the castors to fail when moving. I love these cabs and would give them 5 stars across the board all day long but for this issue, especially considering the price point.

NOT!!!!!! A total rock monster in such a sturdy box!! Moved to the bush, have always admired these (whoever says they haven't is a liar!), and pulled the trigger........matched with a 100 watt DSL this thing is a deadly weapon of sound!! Just ask the now deaf squirrels and other wild life that dare lurk near my rock room.........spreading distortion through the forest.......one watt at a time!!! Often imitated.........never duplicated.........the mighty Marshall stack does indeed rule the jungles of ROCK!! Silence has no expression.......crank your amp through this cabinet and combat nothingness!!!!!!

I bought this cab to replace my old Peavey, had been looking at Marshall for a while and rented the 1960a cab for a few weeks to try it out with my amp and i was so satisfied with the tone, I bought one. Lighter, sturdier than my Peavey cab, it also has more focused mids and highs and the close back gives me a great bass response. Amazing cab, I'm thinking about buying the 1960b cab to go along with this one.

i bought one of these guys second hand from my local L&M to match with my Hughes & Kettner tubemiester 18 (previously used an Egnator tourmaster 2x12) and was really impressed. at first i was hesitant because it was closed backed, and i thought it just had vintage 30s for speaker, which for me, have always just been a good starting point for speakers, not the end all be all people them out to be. but, i was blown away by the sound! perfect for el34 loaded amps. the G12T-75's are great. lots of different ways to plug in an amp or two for stereo, built like a tank but still fairly light, lighter then my 2x12. only loosing marks for me are the casters which i felt could be a bit bulkier, still tough but i wouldnt ride on top of it like i do my 2x12. the other down side is just the price. i was lucky enough to get mine for about 450 and it was broken in, but its a bit steap for a 4x12, especially since everyone does in fact copy this design. all in all great cabinet

I bought this cab never playing it or hearing it. Strictly relying on the fact that it's a Marshall cab and i was not let down! I have used many different cabs throughout my life and this has the be my fav to date by far! Nice and light compared to other cabs for easy transport, solid durability and construction and as always Celestian speakers which never let me down once one stage or recording in the studio! I plan on buying 2 more

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
