This was my starter amp, impressed with how versatile it was and how it capture a multitude of tones ranging from 50's all the way to 2000's. The FXs were loads of fun. Brought it to gigs but alas after a year it started crapping out. Sound were crapping out, had to power off and rest the unit before it would work. It was repaired but was not the same. Still my "go to" amp.

This amp is great value, and so far appears to be very durable. I bought this amp 6 years ago, and it's still going strong, just like new.

Ive been playing clubs over 30 year, owned JMP 50 dbl stack, Hi-Watt, fender twins. This amp is all these sounds. I play zeppelin and old 70's / 80's music. I only use "captain Crunch" or "custard pie".. its wicked! And loud and articulate and really light to move. Its leads are loud and clear! Beside the JCM its leads are much more articulate. I dont know how or why! Its great insmall clubs up to 200. If i ever needed more id buy another one. If you're good its great! Les paul and tele both sound like the record zep 1 and 2. Low volume and high volume are different gain sound. Its loud!

Traded in a Fender tube amp that wasn't half as good as this one. Don't be fooled by what you think you need. Buy what will suit your needs. This amp will model any sound you could ever want to reproduce. I recommend getting the pedal that goes with this amp. It allows you to easily switch between 4 cabinets, adjust the volume with a way pedal, anti has a built in tuner. It also allows you to loop from the pedal. I was able to sell 4 pedals when I got this one. Helped to clean up my set up. Absolutely exactly what I needed- I can practice anything without blowing my eardrums out.

I bought this amp six months ago, as I wanted an all-in-one modelling amp at a moderate price and didn't want to buy tons of pedals. I have compared it over time to other amps, both solid state and tube, and my conclusion is that it's very fine value for money. Lots of versatility in the tone models (I don't use effects at all, I just select the model, adjust gain, tone and reverb. I also adjust the noise gate so that when the sustain fades, I get silence and not the hum of the pickups). I don't really feel the need to buy a tube amp because of this amp's versatility. It comes with MP3 input, invaluable for playing along with your favorite music. Volume is earth shattering. I play the Ramones and find that the "insane" setting with adjustments to gain, tone and reverb deliver the type of buzzsaw, smooth, bright sound that I'm after (e.g. kind of like the sound from I Don't Wanna Grow Up, or their London Rainbow concert on DVD). I bought the Line 6 FBV Express Mark II so I can switch presets and activate the tuner without having to walk up to the amp. This pedal is very nicely built, heavy and robust. The headphone jack outputs your mp3 in stereo, and the guitar reverb is in stereo if you select vintage plate. The speaker is muted once you plug in. I wish the jack was in front, though. The unit seems robust, reliable and durable. User friendliness isn't that great. Kind of complicated to use if you access the menus and want to edit the presets. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase.

ive had alot of fun with this amp, it has SO MANY options for different tones its really fun to playa round with it and have some fun, deffinitely not a gigging amp, at least for higher gain genres as when the amp is turned up with high gain, it starts getting very fuzzy and the clarity is no where to be found....other than that great starting/practice amp, id deffinitly recommend it!

The complex controls (16 amp models, 18 tunable effects plus reverb, drive, bass, mid-range, treble, per-channel and global volume controls) and huge number of built-in presets mean this amp can produce a really wide range of different sounds. If you're fairly new to electric guitar and don't yet know what you want to sound like or what kind of music you want to play, this amp is an excellent way to experiment. I wish Line 6 would build a smaller amp with the same controls and LCD display, because a 75-watt amp is overkill for a lot of people who would find this feature set attractive.

Bought this after renting the 30w model for a month, wanting all the features provided here. I just play for fun at home by myself. Produces nice clear sound at high volumes. Love the huge preset library cause I like 50s, country, rock, heavy metal. When I want no FX I go manual. Very happy with it.

I was a little skeptical about Line 6, but I tried this out in the store and it sounded freaking amazing! It's definitely in the digital realm, but if you're looking for a screaming metal tone, this might be your amp.

I just bought the Line 6 Spider IV 75 yesterday. It's got so many things on it that I'm going to be trying out different combinations for months to come! The distortion on this amp is better than any pedal I've used in the past! It's a steal at $319.00!

Just got this amp to replace my Spider III. I am a Line 6 fan so I may be bias, but whatever the case, it sounds good to me. I mostly play at home by myself so something like this is perfect, lots of things to play with. The looper is an awesome feature. The only downside is the tuner, but I have a Boss TU, so who cares. If you want good sound and lots of effects and something fun, this is for you. I play everything from J.Cash to Metallica and it does it well.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
