The new MARK FIVE: 35, in both traditional compact Boogie 1x12 Combo and 19" Head formats, provides a greatest hits collection of Mesa Boogie's renowned Mark Series circuits from 3 decades. The new MARK FIVE: 35 features 2 Independent Channels, 6 Modes (include Clean, Fat, Crunch, Mark IIC+, Mark IV and Xtreme), Channel Independent Solo & Built-in CabClone.

This all-tube amplifier combines the power of the MARK FIVE preamp with Mesa's exclusive Dyna-Watt 4xEL84 power section, creating a mid-power MARK amp of unprecedented horsepower with ultra portability, clip-ability and high-speed, tactile expressiveness. The harmonic complexity and lushness combined with the higher, tighter Bass frequencies EL84s impart creates a whole new sound. Brighter, tighter, more shredding in the top end, a bit more forgiving in feel and exceedingly more clip-able, the FIVE: 35 is right on time.

To further bolster its stage-ready resume, Mesa Boogies has added a Channel Independent SOLO feature, a long-spring tank for the all-tube Reverb, the complete set of Voicing Choices from CabClone with the addition of the VINTAGE voicing mode to its on-board DI Output, and an upgraded Footswitch for access to the new footswitchable choices.

Features:

MID/BOOST
You'll find added tone shaping in Channel 1 via the MID/BOOST feature on the MARK FIVE: 35. From 0 to 5 on the MID/BOOST you will find the normal range of a standard MID control in a condensed form. From 5 to 10 on the MID/BOOST, a wonderful graduation of overdrive possibilities unfolds, enhancing gain over a broad midrange spectrum and increasing the versatility of each of the 3 Modes in Channel 1. CLEAN and FAT give way to furry and howling, while CRUNCH rolls past Classic Rock to unleash Metal rhythms and molten layers of harmonic complexity for Lead work.

Boogie EQ
The legendary BOOGIE 5-Band Graphic EQ provides the ultimate in sonic flexibility. Dial your sound in with the standard Tone controls and if further shaping is desired, employ the targeted power of the 5-Band Graphic EQ and tweak as you see fit.

SOLO CONTROLS
Independent SOLO Controls for each Channel offer an additional volume level that you can call up during performance using the MARK FIVE: 35 Footswitch.

HEADPHONE OUTPUT
The MARK FIVE: 35 includes a HEADPHONE Output for personal enjoyment of the amplifier when it is not possible or convenient to play through a speaker.

CABCLONE D.I.
The MARK FIVE: 35 upgrades include additions to the on-board CABCLONE D.I. feature, which now offers three classic cabinet simulated VOICING Modes and gives you the full feature set of the stand-alone CABCLONE D.I. minus the OUTPUT control.

I play a bit of everything and wanted an amp to DO everything and found it in droves. The gain channels are excellent, and the clean side takes any pedal of your choosing with ease. The volume is more than sufficient and it doesn’t weigh a ton.

This is the first tube/valve amp Ive owned. Previously I played solid state transistor amps. Before I had to use pedals to try and get some semblance of sustain from my solid state Marshall amp. I find I dont need any pedals when I use this mesaboogie amp as the amp sounds so good and rings out so well. The channels from clean, fat, and extreme (crunch), are really nice and youll find any overdriven tone you can imagine in there. Clean is truly lovely and I enjoy playing there. It is expensive but when you plug into it you'll be like wow Ive got to buy this. This is how I now own this amp. Telecaster with Seymour Duncan Hot Rails and the amp rings and rings with sustain. The tonal response of the amp means I can explore all of my guitar pickup selector switch settings. Amp EQ section is a nice addition to explore and dial in tones. 100% this amp will help you to level up your guitar skills.

As an owner of many amps both tube and solid state, and someone who leans more towards Marshall amps than others I really didn't need yet another high end tube amplifier, but what the heck you only live once. After reading all the rave reviews I just had to have one and see for myself. I'd say most if not all of the review comments are dead on with this puppy, nothing bad to say except you have to dig deep into your wallet, but nothing great comes cheap (or inexpensive). This amp has a huge array of different sounds and or tones so yes you can find what your looking for. The one thing I'd say that I didn't read in other reviews (or I just plain missed) is, how do I describe, how articulate this amp is!! Everything you play rings out so clear and spanky it's marvelous, like if you like P90 pickups like I do then you'll love this amp. No matter what guitar or pickup you use it has that sparkling chime.Lastly if you buy this puppy you'll probably never need to buy anything else because simple tone adjustments can completely change it's sound, so 1000 amps in one. And this 35 watt model has ample power for any gig I'd say, I'm running it with an additional 1x12 closed back Mesa cabinet. Not one to highly rate gear unless it's well earned and this amps deserves all the high paise.

You get what you pay for. The Cadillac of tube combo’s. Solid and versatile. If you’re having a hard time finding your sound, keep playing with it because it’s in there. Great for live, home and studio.

I impulse bought one of these and was a bit perplexed with the sounds I was getting - very tight and focused with so much mids it’s crazy. After about 4 weeks I was almost ready to return it when I came across a really good demo online that showed 20 different settings from clean to progressive metal. I tried their “80s metal” settings and was like “ok, this is cool”. Basically I wasn’t cranking the treble enough, and I was resisting using the graphic eq for some reason - it’s awesome, use it! So I’m back on-board with this amp. Craftsmanship is amazing, and quite loud even in 10 watt mode.

I've been playing guitar for over 40 yrs and this amp is the holy grail for me. Hands down the most versatile amp that I've ever used. We play a lot of different genres in our band and it'll cover it all. I would recommend mesa's 2x12 cabinet with V-30s if playing a larger venue, but for a small club, the amp sounds magnificent as a combo only.

I bought this after owning a Blues Jr. (which I loved). Was looking for something in a small tube combo with gigging power, more versatility, and something I could use in the studio. This amp is the answer! Yes, it's a little expensive - but that's what L&M financing is for. The effects loop is perfect to retain the sound of your guitar straight to amp while integrating effects, and the CabClone DI out is a perfect cab simulation for recording - there's really no need to mic this up (unless you want more of the room sound). My only complaint is that the tube spring reverb is not as saturated as something from Fender, but pedals can fix that. This amp also has the classic tones (because they use the same circuitry) from the Mark IIC and Mark IV amps. You can get everything from clean, to crunch, to extreme metal distortion from this jem. If you want a true American made tube combo amp that has a small footprint, and will not only hold it's value, but last a lifetime - this is the amp for you. Seriously.

This is a fantasitic amp. Sounds great clean & right up to a super dirty crunch. 3 power modes (10, 25, 35W) so can get nice tube distortion at small club levels. Has a headphone out so great fo home use. Its not cheap, but you are getting what you pay for.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
