Bassbreaker series guitar amplifiers continue Fenders storied lineage with a kind of parallel evolution that evokes the dawn of hard rock. Bassbreaker breaks away from tradition with features that add up to pure tube greatness.

Powerful and unpretentious, the Bassbreaker 007 packs quite a punch for its size. Fueled by a pair of 12AX7 preamp tubes and a single EL84 power tube for 7 watts of true Class-A amplification, the Bassbreaker 007 Combo features traditional gain and tone controls, and an interesting option, switchable vintage-style treble booster for increased overdrive and added harmonics. Higher gain settings of the 007 are just plain fun, but never mask the dynamics and identity of the guitar. The onboard 1/4 inch line output connects directly to recording gear or a larger amp. Bold visual touches include block Fender logo, dark grey lacquered tweed covering, leatherette handle and big, bold pointer knobs.

Loaded with complex, refined sound, the agile Bassbreaker 007 Combo provides delectable crunch that is shaken, not stirred. Add the optional booster footswitch and protective amp cover to complete this globe-hopping ensemble.

Features:

• Moderately sized, with 7 watts of big tone
• Single EL84 power tube, true class A operation Vintage-style treble-booster circuit switch on front panel for extra gain and harmonics (also operated by optional single-button footswitch)

I bought this amp used for a good deal at my local L&M. I played several amps that day and it was my favourite. Nice clear classic fender clean tone, but with a lot of gain. The treble boost switch really opens it up and ands even more punchy gain. It's loud for 7 watts....lots of head room. Perfect for my small home studio. I only have the master volume up 1/4 of the way and it fills the room. I wish it had built-in reverb, but I have a good reverb pedal, so that's not a big deal.

Amazing little amplifier for at home! Sounds great clean; and awesome as the gain is turned up and the treble boost switched on. It plays very well with the volume at low levels and gets very loud in a small space when you want to crank it up! The staff at the Cambridge store were very friendly and helpful! Thank you!

This amp is just what I need for my bedroom playing, and can still be cranked up when needed. Very clear and crisp sound you would expect from a fender amp. Only downside is that there are no effects, but for what you pay I can't complain. Highly recommend for bedroom players that want that tube sound.

This is a great bedroom/practice amp that also has plenty of volume on tap. Run it clean and you have an awesome platform for all of your pedals or turn up the gain and activate the treble boost for pure tube amp bliss. The Bassbreaker 007 is one small, but mighty tone beast.

I've had this for over a year. The stock groove tubes gave up after 11 months, so I replaced them. I use it to gig and play with a band for practice. It can keep up with a drum kit and rarely turn it past 3/4 on the master volume. It takes pedals well, including fuzz. The downside is that it has no effects and reverb.

This amp is an amazing little tone machine. It not a typical Fender sound. If you looking for the classic Fender cleans this is not that amp. The cleans are warm, sparkling and harmonic and the overdrive is fantastic. The volume knob taper works properly as opposed to some Fender amps. Lots of low end on tap. EQ is very responsive. Roll back the volume control on your guitar you can go from grit to clean easily. Not a ton of head room on this amp especially with humbuckers. I have an LP and a Tele and they both sound great (Tele sounds amazing actually) The 10 inch speaker really kicks out the sound, not boxy sounding at all. The amp is voiced beautifully.... couldn't be happier. Nice job Fender!

Ive been looking around for a small tube amp, after having bought a digital modelling amp a few years ago (a Fender GDEC 30 which does sound good but a bit too complicated) . I've always thought I should have bought a Blues Jr. but the price just keeps going up up up. I tried the new Bassbreaker and imho it's way better than the Blues Jr. A reverb would have done it for me ; i'm really looking for a jazz tone, which this little amp will do along with rock and blues... still under consideration but a great amp at a pretty good price.

I played it in store and couldn't stop playing it, I must have been in there for 45 minutes. Great tube tone and great dynamics, it really surprised me for a 7 watt amp with a 10 inch speaker. I'm definitely buying it next paycheque

This is such a great little amp. I've been searching for good low wattage tube amps for years now. It doesn't have a lot of features you would expect it too: no reverb or effects loop, but it's also the cheapest tube amp from a big brand. So more money for pedals and it takes pedals well. The boost button gives a nice option of tone. For me it`s the best of both worlds between a fender amp and JMP Marshall. sounds amazing with my tele and the gain turned low with boost and sounds very Eric Clapton Bluesbreaker with everything dimed, no boost, except the treble and my Les Paul. I also find that 7 watts is perfect for home use, loud without pissing of the neighbors. I think this amp is serious contender for the Fender Blues Jr as the most popular small amp.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
