Height of the lumbar support is quite low, but still feels pretty good. Much better than no support at all.
Mounted this on a Yamaha drum throne using heavy duty #10 Paulin screws (had to supply these myself). Seems solid after a few hours of use.
Required alteration of the existing throne base to accommodate the base clamp. This is not an issue if you are a handy person and have access to a method to alter the existing throne base (Dremel works best to cut away the metal).
