Question: what is the difference between a ride and crash cymbal

Answer: Ride cymbals are heavier and intended for repeated hits and keeping time. Crash cymbals are lighter and meant for accents and punctuations.

Been playing on these now for a few weeks and I'm very happy with my choice to go with Sabian instead of the others. Solid balanced ride, the crashes are bright with excellent resonance and response. Hats are excellent. Great value.
