Adding to TC Electronic's successful line of TonePrint pedals, HyperGravity Compressor is the perfect tool to make any guitarist's tone go from good to great and features three outstanding and powerful compression modes.

Despite this power, HyperGravity Compressor is still extremely simple to use and includes a built-in limiter for extra "effect-type" squashed compression tones. The multiband compressor is based on the same MD3 compression algorithm as featured in TC's definitive studio processor System 6000, giving a much more even and natural sounding compression across the frequency spectrum, a vintage-style compressor adds classic stompbox compressed tones plus endless compression combinations are available through TonePrint or via the TonePrint editor.

Main Features:

• Studio-quality Multiband Compressor
• Vintage Mode for classic stompbox compression
• TonePrint enabled for a world of signature and customizable effects
• True or Buffered Bypass

Took up slide guitar and discovered that everyone who's anyone uses a compressor to get that clean, crisp and well defined sound (eg Sonny Landreth). As someone who has played in standard tuning for many years I could never really see the value to the traditional chicken pickin compression unless that's what your after. This pedal can do that but it does a whole lot more. The effect this pedal can have on your tone is dramatic to the point that you will wonder how you ever coped without it. If I had to pick only one pedal to use at a gig it would win over all the rest. The blend control is a must have on a compressor as it allows true customizing to your specific guitar, amp and style. Nice job TCE

Hi cost, but to get the blend feature, you will have to buy a Wampler or comparable which is well over $200 CDN. "Blend" lets you mix in the un effected signal with the compression. ...and it is quiet

i'm amazed at what this thing can do. the spectra and vintage modes are great for what they are, easy to configure, musical compression -- turn some knobs, make some minor adjustments and off you go. what i'm after and what i'm most impressed with are the available options in the toneprint editor. you can set the cross over frequency for each band (2 x-overs dividing the three bands) then you can set the threshold, ratio, attack, sustain, hold, knee and gain for each band independently. you can really dial in your compression parameters for each band, and then subsequently, when your low end triggers the compressor, it's not squashing everything. some reviewers on other sites claim it's noisy - it's a compressor - it adds gain to your signal, if you've got noise in your signal, it will get louder... just dial back the sustain a bit. some say it sounds too digital - i was able to replicate that, but only when i had the gain up high enough for the signal to clip... it is a digital sounding clip... otherwise, when i've got it properly configured, i find it to be very transparent. highly recommend this thing. i knocked the quality rating down a star because on one of my PC's, the toneprint application simply would not recognize it and i don't know, something about the chassis doesn't feel super solid, at least not compared to your average BOSS chassis... i mean, it's not flimsy feeling, just not quite as solid as i'd like. the knobs and switch and everything else are great.

My first compressor pedal and probably the only one i'll ever need. Sounds great. Useful sounds everywhere and the Toneprint function makes the possibilities limitless. I am still only scratching the surface of what this pedal can do.
