The VINTAGE TIME MACHINE VM1 effects pedal got its name with good reason. It features an awesome combination of classic effects that have stood the test of time.

The VM1 boasts with effects that include chorus, vibrato and delay. With up to 550 ms of organic analog echo, it sounds just like your vintage tape delay. Dial in the sounds of the 1970s with this fantastic piece of gear and let your sounds travel comfortably back in time, leaving the struggle with nasty tape loops and worn-out mechanical gear behind you. A status LED for effect On/Off is included, plus there is a true hard-wire bypass for ultimate signal integrity.

Travel back in time and get carried away by vintage analog effects!

Dig this very inexpensive piece of gear to get some muddy delay and some really lovely light reverb. No, this is not a DMM, it is a facsimile...and a darn good one at that. Check out the YouTube video comparisons and then do yourself a favour and pick this thing up!

When you compare it to the ehx or moog analog delay there is a lot missing in terms of tone and build quality . It is however hundreds of dollars less than those units. It's not a digital delay it does use a bucket brigade chip . It can feedback to the point of self oscillation and get fun when twisting the knobs in real time. It won't blow your mind but if you are on a budget it's a great analog delay for a beginner . The delays do spill off some of the frequencies on this unit . While its not a tape echo it is also not a digital delay. It has way to much line noise but in this price range what do you expect

The impression Behringer gives is that this unit will emulate a tape echo. No, it will emulate a digital echo. It's not even close to a tape echo. On a tape echo the repeats will degrade in quality, this is a digital echo with each repeat being a copy of the original. The controls give you a very narrow range to work in. I.e. a slight tweak with the feedback control will go from a number of repeats to self oscillation. It takes some getting used to. The Chorus does work, but it's quite faint. The Vibrato is much more pronounced. By looking at the shape and layout it's obviously meant to compare to a EHX Classic Deluxe Memory Man (five knob version). But in fact, it's much closer to the new DSP controlled DMM and not even in the same ballpark as the original. Having said this, if you're in the market for a digital style echo, it does work and worth a look at at this price point.
