My 2 choices of strings are these & the hybrid cobalts.
Both keep their tone a long, long time with proper wipe downs due to corrosion resistance (I tend to always give a wipe when putting on the stand). However, the cobalts are a bit more in $, as well as punch (colder square wave gain-like, not warm soft compression-like).
The lighter treble strings lend to easier bends, while the heavier lows have more snap & sustain due to tension.
Bonus that drop D isn't too lose for rhythm guitar action.
