this is a good stand, sturdy, second tier adjustable. i went thru 2 of it because the right(or left dont remember) knob that secures the second tier seems to always strip and becomes useless. i suggest going with the 742 model, much much better

Not really built to last. The top tier isn't very strong and it doesn't take much to bend it. This is mostly fine if you're just keeping it in the studio but if you planning on gigging with it, forget it. Just not durable enough to be repeatedly taken down and setup up. After just over a year of gigging with it the back screws stripped making the top tier unusable like the other reviewer experience. Wish I had seen this review before I bought it. Won't be buying a quiklok stand again.

I've gone through 2 of these stand in less than a year. It's very sturdy even when you set it up higher (while standing to play). I stack a heavy Kronos-88 on the bottom tier and a PA900 on top for most gigs, the good parts are that there is zero shake/bounce at all when I play at either end of my Kronos, like there is with cheaper stands, and it's very easy to fold up almost flat and carry/store.
The GIANT problem are the screws in the back that secure the arms for the second tier. The screws stripped on my first stand and the second tier became completely unusable. I now have a new one that i had to pay for again, because the warranty after one year doesn't cover the stripped screws. L&M would've probably replaced it within the first year, but I had had it for 13 months so no go (I only used it to gig for about 5 months, it sat in my studio the rest of the time. The factory website says this stand has a 3-year warranty, but NOT for the screws, which is clearly a recurring problem. I've also NEVER over-tightened these screws. Another big annoyance are the rubber bumpers/feet on this thing; they easily fall off when moving or carrying the stand and if you're not careful you lose them.
Very sturdy stand when it works, I've had the second one for about 4 months, playing 4-5 nights/week, but the screws on this one have become more and more difficult to tighten and they probably won't last more than another few months. I'll look for a different/better stand, before this happens since it's quite difficult to play keyboards on the floor. :P
If you're using this stand for keyboards that won't move, it'll last you years, but I would NOT buy if you're gigging on a regular basis.
