CAIG DeoxIT contact cleaner is a fast-acting deoxidizing solution that cleans, preserves, lubricates and improves conductivity on all metal connectors and contacts.

Use as a general treatment for connectors, contacts and other metal surfaces and on non-critical metal surfaces with severe oxidation and corrosion. (If the metal surface is discoloured, it is severe.) DeoxIT dissolves the contamination and protects the surface.

• Rejuvenates, protects, lubricates, and improves conductivity
• Reduces intermittent connections, arcing, and RFI as well as wear and abrasion
• Safe for use on all metal connectors and contacts and will not harm plastics

Works as advertised. Got rid of the scratching, static, and poor response on the input pots of my device. I've used a couple other products and they don't compare. Would be nice if the nozzle was a little bit smaller, and the price was a little bit lower.

You all know what dirty pots sound like. I have 2 very old Yorkville monitors and the pots would almost explode when you touched them, I had tried to clean them before with “Brand X” contact cleaner - but no luck. I heard about CAIG online - and while I really didn’t believe it would work - I wanted to try one more time before I threw out the monitors. I removed the amps from the wedges, sprayed the pots through the cleaning hole a couple of times, twisted the knobs a few times, and reassembled. The monitors are like new. CAIG not only cleaned the pots but lubricated them as well. Beyond impressed - don’t hesitate. Well worth the money.

Used this spray on my vintage 41 year old integrated amplifier, both phono inputs were not working and some of the switches and controls were noisy. Opened up the unit and sprayed all of the connections I could and worked the switches and controls. To my surprise when I got every thing hooked up and tested it everything worked including the dead phono inputs. Its not cheap but it worked for me.

I was experiencing intermittent crackling at the input jack of a very old Ampeg. I grabbed a can of this stuff after politely disagreeing with a sales associate who recommended that I use WD40 instead. Deoxit worked great to clean the input. Problem solved. This was the right stuff for the job.

My clyde wah was all scratchy. A blast of this solved the problem. I find the scratchy comes back if I haven't wahed in a few days but rocking it a bit before i start clean it up and it's good to go. I haven't had to do second application after some months.

I have a Mackie 24-8 that is 15 years old. I bought it on kijiji a year and a half ago. From day one a third of the channels had an awful scratching sound and would sometimes cut out while playing. Not reliable. Online forums suggested that the pots couldn't be cleaned through the mixing board surface because they are sealed....soooo wrong. Half a can of deoxit and the mixing board is functioning like brand new! I highly recommend this to anyone who is thinking about replacing their board because they think the channels are 'worn out'. Give deoxit a try, you will likely be as pleasantly surprised as I was!
